OMG I love the cave girls...so cute!
But I'm having difficulty finding a hair-bone
Not quite Halloween, but I have a 2000s-icon themed costume party later this week and have no idea what to go as (possibly Lindsay in her trainwreck phase??) or MK Olsen, but I feel that's slightly played out. Some suggestions on the Facebook page are - Tony Blair, Lindsay Lohan, George Bush, Osama Bin Laden, Roger Federer, (Scary old) Madonna, Paris Hilton etc.
Does anyone on here have any better ideas?
I've been watching this thread for all your creative ideas. Some are really original. I wouldn't want to steal ideas though, it just helps me to think of something.
I think it will be fun for you to dress as Lady Gaga jaimediane71. I know I've heard a bunch of people talking about going as her (both males and females) but you should still do it. It looks like a fun costume.
I have been trying to think of something that is appropriate for school incase my class decides to be festive. Plus I feel like I've had enough "skanky-____" costumes for my time. And it's colder here. I don't want to spend much time or money making anything this year either. Also I don't want it to be too serious b/c I go to an art school and people take themselves too seriously sometimes. I am not a fan of horror-type costumes, it just isn't my style. And I've been trying to avoid celeb-inspired costumes this year because none have interested me too much lately.
My most promising idea so far is a barbie that has been mistreated by a little girl. I'm thinking a cheap blonde wig with hair all rat's-nest-like and maybe chunks chopped of harshly. Big, bright plastic jewelry. Then clothing would be tacky, loud, cheap, pink-heavy, and mismatched and layered. Maybe some garments not fastened properly or on backwards. Also some kids draw on their dolls so maybe write and scribble on my arms/face/neck with washable marker. The only thing I can't think of how to portray is having missing limbs. Or when their heads pop off and then you squish them back on and they have no neck. Hmm.... anyone have suggestions of other characteristics of mistreated barbies I could portray?
Love itIt seems like the little pieces were always getting lost--you could have mismatched shoes--with the same heel height so you can walk! I wonder if you could find a big pink brush or comb to carry with you--you could let other people groom you at dull moments
