What to Wear for Halloween

i love halloween!
i'm thinking of some costumes for this year.. either medussa, little red riding hood, or 80s madonna. haha i've got to see what i have lying around or can buy for cheap!

first - i wish here in poland ppl could be more fun around halloween , althought this is not in our tradiotion it def. look very fun and one-year occasion to dress up like a child without judgmental look from my 80 year old nun XD

second - As much i love fifth element i would never be brave to wear that costume - did you see how it looks from a bottom- no pants situation all the way XD and i am not L.Lohan .... but good idea anyway :)

wowww the cavewoman idea is cute!!

I'm going as lady gaga, probably will be a lot of those this year, but I've been wanting to be her since last halloween lol (plus, I really want an excuse to wear the lace bunny ears :) ). Here's what I'm thinking:

But I'm having difficulty finding a hair-bone

i went as wilma flintstone to a costume party this year, and needed a bone and went to a pet store and got a mint bone and that worked well

this year me and my friend are going as Patty and Selma bouvier from the simpsons ha ha

Not quite Halloween, but I have a 2000s-icon themed costume party later this week and have no idea what to go as (possibly Lindsay in her trainwreck phase??) or MK Olsen, but I feel that's slightly played out. Some suggestions on the Facebook page are - Tony Blair, Lindsay Lohan, George Bush, Osama Bin Laden, Roger Federer, (Scary old) Madonna, Paris Hilton etc.

Does anyone on here have any better ideas?

Help me I am having a party the week before Halloween and I need a costume ASAP. I recently got my hair cut super short like the Beatles in the mid 60s or Aggy Deyn right now. But I dont want to be a Beatle even though that's what all my friends are telling me to be but I would need 3 other people to do that. Any ideas I was thinking Mugatu from Zoolander but I would need a wig and a corset I was also thinking of being a generic mod or Peggy Moffit but my roommate pointed out thats how I dress every day lol. Any ideas?????

Last year I was going to be Naomi Campbell. I had a fake cell phone on a yo-yo string and stripper heels, but I kept getting out of work really late and couldn't get a wig :(

I think I'll be Grace Jones this year...or Donna Summers

^ Grace Jones sounds like a fun costume you should do that. I also forgot to say Im hosting the party so I want to have an extra cool costume but I dont want to spend a ton of money.

I've been watching this thread for all your creative ideas. Some are really original. I wouldn't want to steal ideas though, it just helps me to think of something.

I think it will be fun for you to dress as Lady Gaga jaimediane71. I know I've heard a bunch of people talking about going as her (both males and females) but you should still do it. It looks like a fun costume.

I have been trying to think of something that is appropriate for school incase my class decides to be festive. Plus I feel like I've had enough "skanky-____" costumes for my time. And it's colder here. I don't want to spend much time or money making anything this year either. Also I don't want it to be too serious b/c I go to an art school and people take themselves too seriously sometimes. I am not a fan of horror-type costumes, it just isn't my style. And I've been trying to avoid celeb-inspired costumes this year because none have interested me too much lately.

My most promising idea so far is a barbie that has been mistreated by a little girl. I'm thinking a cheap blonde wig with hair all rat's-nest-like and maybe chunks chopped of harshly. Big, bright plastic jewelry. Then clothing would be tacky, loud, cheap, pink-heavy, and mismatched and layered. Maybe some garments not fastened properly or on backwards. Also some kids draw on their dolls so maybe write and scribble on my arms/face/neck with washable marker. The only thing I can't think of how to portray is having missing limbs. Or when their heads pop off and then you squish them back on and they have no neck. Hmm.... anyone have suggestions of other characteristics of mistreated barbies I could portray?

Mistreated Barbie sounds like an awesome costume. I still remember the bad haircut I gave one of mine.

I bet Michelle Obama will be remembered as part of this decade ... and that would be a costume you could wear again ;)

Love it  It seems like the little pieces were always getting lost--you could have mismatched shoes--with the same heel height so you can walk! I wonder if you could find a big pink brush or comb to carry with you--you could let other people groom you at dull moments

I'm going to be a burlesque dancer.

I have a lovely corset from FairyGothMother that I will be using.

I have some ruffle underwear and stockings from Victoria Secret.

Have to get some more things but mostly done.

Haha! Yes, I thought about it but I think I'd have to make one. I've never seen brushes that big proportionally. And I will have to keep my elbows bent at a right angle.B)

I'm going to be Sioxsie Sioux as my secret wish is to have a wardrobe full of 80s goth/punk clothing but I'm not committed enough for that.

Does anyone have pictures of Gwen Stefani's What you waiting for video? I loved what her harajuku girl was wearing...the one in the blue I think she was suppose to be the bunny character.
