I got myself involved in politics (nothing major). I would like to know if I could do something casual as jeans and still be taken seriously?

What exactly are you doing? Going around coercing people to vote for a certain party?

I'm a member of the party. I'm also the youngest one.
But it's nothing big, I don't even have a title.
I'm just one of the little people.

Jeans are fine you should probably have a tailored sports jacket or suit coat though, sweater or blouse under that. Think of casual fridays at a law firm.

I've been in the exact same position. Being the youngest I've found that it's good to always be just slightly more dressed than everyone, jeans are ok just for meetings with people you work with, just so long as they are in good condition. I suggest buying at least one good blazer, put it on, and everything looks better. I also suggest you invest in a good leather tote, every outfit looks pulled together with a professional looking bag

nice shoes are very important if you're a girl. they don't have to be superformal, but not distracting or too informal
