whats your fashion career? or what are you studying to go into?

I'm studying to become a nurse. Oddly enough, I think that I will become even more fashion obsessed after having to wear scrubs so often.

i'm a fashion strategy consultant, part time fashion journalist and currator/designer :flower:

Im in Law school...

after joining law school , inoticed the 5th years .. and they tend to neglect themselves.
theres a lot of work .. acedemics alone consists of research papers, vivas, presenations and keeping up with class/ goign to the library, not to mention a host of magazines to keep up with..

then there are a host of co-curricular activities, including mock court sessions for which theres research again...

and beign a member of a committe measn more work again ..

in the holidays there are internships too..

P.Peach vbmenu_register("postmenu_795272", true); im so glad u brought this up ..because i have become OBSESSIVE,

I think that in some strange way, the more removed from fashion you become (ie, not working in the industry), the deeper your fondness and dare I say, obsession becomes. After seeing everyone in scrubs all day, I suppose that when I look at a glossy magazine, it only looks that much more special.

pattern cutting is a very interesting direction indeed Victim.. make it happen :flower:

Not to mention extremely important! Without a good cut, even the best design falls flat...

yeah designs for me are all about cut and construction thats why i love Ann Demeulemeester and Vivienne Westwood (the cutting in her womenswear is so strange but in a good way) sinahstanics cut could be great but there manufacturer is in turkey and there all skirts fall dierectly to the ground so there designs dont look right when they're made. i'm telling you now i'm going to develop a cut that defies the laws of gravity lol

way to go victim.. plus you are in the right school for studing and developing your anti-gravity style ;)

About me ... my fashionable career wud be stylist of friends, starving artist and accesories freak.
 :p

Handbag and accessories design... but I'm running into a bit of trouble with finding a job.

dont loose faith, dont give up Luna, you are very talented and soon to be 'discovered' for what you are :flower:

I'm halfway tempted to just start my own company... at least then i know someone would hire me.

It's an excellent idea... but I don't have the start up money for it.

sponsoring? collaborations? you will sure find a way

hoping to go into fashion PR. one more year left in my media undergraduate. its a big scary world over there in new york city. i can't wait to get going. good luck to everyone!

I´m a buyer for a high-end designers store in germany, but to be honest, this is my first job in the fashion biz and so I can´t offer like loads of work experience aside from what I am doing since two and a half years now... I´d like to move into another field though - still having my design dreams up and would love to work at a Parisian couture house with incredible knowledge and heritage to learn something from the way couture clothes are made... preferably Rochas since I already enjoy working with them and because they are more independent than, say Dior *dreams*... :yuk:

I have the best job in the world...really! I am a senior fashion editor, in charge with a fashion magazine and two tv show.
