For work I am thinking of getting this (below) but in general I think leather will be big (and shearling); the 'puffer' jackets will also big popular.

Winter coats are my favorite clothes to wear! They can lend such elegance and style to the simplest of outfits.

I usually buy a new wool coat every two years, and this fall I've had my current winter coat for two years - which feels a bit sad, because it's still going strong and I love it to bits. But as I don't want it to fall apart, I will have to give it a rest..

I adore this one from TopShop:

It's very Charles Anastase, little red riding hood.. two qualities I much enjoy in winter coats! But I am a bit nervous about the quality, I'm sure a TopShop piece could last two years with good care but still.. high-street + coats don't usually make a good pair.

But my dream winter coat would be Balenciaga F/W05 or F/W07, or practically anyone from Mr Anastase..

I've been wearing my Burberry trench for 20 years now ... the leather on the belt buckle is starting to crumble, so one of these days I'm going to have to replace it I like being able to focus on spending my money elsewhere for fall, which always seems to be so expensive ...

I really want that H&M one as well. I'd like to know if it's from the regular line or from the Trend line (which isn't available in my city ). If it's from the Trend line, I'm sure it'll be gone in no time.

I saw that Stella coat on Neiman's website (or somewhere similar) and LOVED it! I would try looking at a vintage mall for something similar to hers, perhaps even eBay. I haven't seen any contemporary clothing stores carrying anything similar yet (except maybe Topshop)

it was posted but now its been removed...either sold out quickly or waiting for the whole collection to be added.

I think this concept of "wooly, shaggy" coats are a continuation of the trend from last year. very hippy chic and they are a definite strong trend. I'm going to check out some vintage options like Kaki suggested.
