Worst Trends And Styles Of The Last 10 Years

the early nineties were awful - simply awful
I think I'm gonna try an early 90's Halloween costume sometime. Everyone can recognize out an 80's or 70's or 60's (and so on) era costume, so why not early 90's? I'm thinking a babydoll dress, with leggings or long johns underneath, a flannel shirt over top, a pair of Doc Martens, and a "Blossom" style big floppy hat (with the front brim turned up, natch).

You're going to make me cry....

-t-shirts with stuff like 'angel' on them

-velour tracksuits

-faux designer bags

-satin drawstring cargo pants

-high-heeled hiking boots

-high-heeled flip-flops

-high-heeled converse

-trucker hats (they were cool and ironic before ashton wore them, now they're a mall-rat must-have)

-bell-bottoms

-lo-rise stretch jeans (esspecially on fat girls)

-gawd-awful rappers launching clothing lines

-the psudo-punk look (d00d, SAfetY PInz r sO hArrd COREe!!!)

-metalic shoes

-fleece

-gore tex

-fake pearls

-the kelly osbourne look

-retro style

I don't think grunge was meant to be 'fashionable' but anti-fashion.

Totally agree with high-heeled flip-flops, and love handles over hipsters.

I did like the flannel/funnel-neck/all-in-one black shoe look. Do you think we'll hate that in a couple of years?

trucker hats are the worst- although an Ole Miss or LSU hat turned just a little crooked with a polo (sleeveless for girls, and a pastel for guys) is pretty cute (I'm sort of uber-prep..)

any kinda revivals of

20's
30's
40's
60's
70's
80's
fashion is very cyclical, so i gotta disagree with that statement. Looks like this s/s collections are being influenced by the 20's and 50's

*low waist trousers (much more with thongs showing off)
*LV bags mania
*fleece
*lux label fakes
These are some of the things that truly make me puke!!!!!

Everything mentioned here has "had its days"

To add to that lot, i absolutely hate animal skins(crocodile/snakes etc).

Ganster garments and fake customised clothes and shoes. (Everything from those trainers that are customised with Gucci/ Louis Vuitton prints) :yuk:

Gore Tex?

 hahahahahahahah!

Who wears gore tex? Ohh, I cant stop laughing, .
I have to wear goretex when I go on some feild training op, I think it is stupid to by it and wear it for regular everyday life. I mean, the stuff is made so it decomposes naturally over 10 years. If you keep the stuff for more than five years, It doesnt look the same, it goes mouldy like bread. Ohh well, thats enough military R and D for now. Ohh lordy, what a laugh.... :P

worst that come to mind:

juicy
uggs
von dutch
acid washed jeans
sports team apparel
heavy logos
heavy jewelry
cross colors
neon colors
metalics
flannel

Any sort of platform boot, shoe, sandal.

Those fake and real tiffany & Co. heart charm bracelets

Anything Jennifer Lopez wears made/makes me want to vomit.

Canvas Louis Vuitton bags. Because I'm sure all those who bought it really liked that fact that they were poop brown with painted logos. Not even leather. People are such victims to labels. It's sad

The whole blonde streaks and fake blondes with fake tans (Britney Spears) look. Talk about clones!

let me add...

how can one forget the small LV clutch that everyone had because it was the least expensive and therefore the only one most people could afford.

You know it's true because before LV became popular I RARELY saw woman with plastic brown purses with painted logos

*minimalsim, ugly and boring
not ugly to me..... thank you very much! [/b][/quote]
Minimalism is the most brillant trend to hit this overconsuming world of mass consumerism. The philosophy behind it is for people to learn to appreciate the beauty of the simple. Something that the world seriously needs.

The worst:

Fleece
hip-hop inspired looks
thongs popping out of jeans
Gothic, except on very beautiful people (excuse the political incorrectness)

Well, I have to admit I don't enjoy the Monogram Canvas purses too much anymore either but that's because I think most of the styles are boring (unlike the new Theda!).

Anyway, I was just going to defend LV and say that those bags are not made of "plastic." They are made out of a very durable canvas that has been woven with the monogram and then coated with vinyl. The logo is NOT painted on.

Just wanted to clarify.
