This jacket - Sale at Neimans

This is for my lil sister who's birthday is coming up real soon. She has been so good to me this year and I have been very fortunate financially so I figure I'm gonna splurge on her.

I am thinking either of these two jackets would be perfect for her - please say if you like either, both or have a preference.

This is reduced to $1000 from $2300 and I really like it myself - very kinda casual I am thinking.

Maybe this - it is much more formal but I think she could get away with wearing it with jeans (do you?) This is also reduced from $2995 to $1350

Thanks

I personally would go with the second one, just because it would fit in with my closet more (color wise).

I suppose you should pick the one that you think your sister would like the most.

What a splurge! I'm sure she'll love whichever one you're going to get her.

I personally also prefer the second one simply because I wear a lot of black. I think it will go with a lot more outfits/items plus it seems easier to dress down too. Either way, your sister is one lucky girl.

Seems like we got two jackets to talk about in Post #12,381. The first jacket doesn't look all that bad to me, really. Pretty sure this is a stylish way to stay warm. Not too much in love with its design, but it's getting a Yay! from me. The second one seems very lovely with the dyed fur deal. I'm looking function rather than style here. So I would give it an absolute yay if the sleeves were longer. But as it is, it's still a Yay!.

If this was "yay or nay and which," I'll go with the second jacket for its style. As far as wearing jeans with the second jacket, it seems perfectly fine. A good pair of dark blue bootcut jeans (unless you can't work with these) would work well with the second jacket. Though they aren't really traditional jeans, you could certainly get away with wearing denim jean trousers. I'm sure your little sister would appreciate either jacket. Those are just my suggestions.

What do you all think of this maxi dress? Sorry, the pics aren't the greatest.

I did a YouTube video called "John's Fashion Talk: Maxi Dresses" a few days ago. They can be very lovely despite certain criticisms. As I take a look at this maxi dress here (Post #12,390)... it seems like a good dress for warmer weather (maybe REALLY hot days!). Its shape overall is somewhat to my liking. The pattern is a bit uncertain. Though I find great beauty in maxi dresses, I don't really see it with this one. So I'm going to have to (slightly) Nay! this one.

You can look around on ShopStyle or something for maxi dresses. I've been considering alternatives for things I nay or slightly yay. So in this case, you could probably search for another halter maxi dress with a more favorable pattern or color style. You could possibly look for a lovlier backless maxi dress with either a lovely solid color, a great multi-color combination, or anything like that. You have some options... but I'd stay away from this dress unless you actually want to go get this. If you want a good maxi dress, by all means, find a maxi dress you're most comfortable and happy with... even if you chose this one.

Dress confidently and show some style!

Just got it today. I got it in a light purple/lavender color. Yay or nay? Thanks

It`s funny, but I can`t decide which colour of these Ipanema sandals should I choose (the last ones are dark green, not black). Or maybe even not.

i'm not a fan of flip flops, but these are different...I like. I would personally go with the first of third pair...you can match those easily.

I'll have to do triple duty here! A dress, some sandals, and some boots. Bring them on!

I'm going to Yay! the dress in Post #12,394. The overall shape and style of this dress is beautiful. Those would be perfect with sandals or a sweet pair of espadrilles. Nothing but love for this. And since you just got this, keep the dress and look fab! ^_^

In the past, I've always said that flip-flops/thong sandals are "inexpensive style." I haven't gotten sick of flip-flops/thongs like I've gotten sick of sheepskin boots. Thong sandals with back straps haven't been very lovely to me. So for these sandals in Post #12,396, if you love thong sandals except for the floppy sound when walking in these, I guess these would suit you better. So these Ipanamena sandals are a Yay! My choices would come down between the white/natural colors and the forest green sandals.

Finally, the boots in Post #12,398. I'm going to have to Nay! these for two reasons- the material and the heel design. The last two items were successes, but the boots are a fail. I'd stay away from these and look for some more stylish numbers.

Yay dress, yay sandals, nay boots. Dress with confidence!
