His Noir collections aren't doing it for me. I'm getting an androgynous vibe from them, although that's usually a good thing for women's collections. The bulky fit always bothers me, though. The styling - the dress with the sneakers...

I'm assuming the fabrics are top notch, but the styling, the way it's worn on the body, how it fits just don't cut it, imo.

I do like that the collection emphasizes form, as someone mentioned earlier.

I don't think Yohji's clothes could be described as 'bulky'...like raijin said it has more to do with a fluid sense of tailoring allowing the clothes to have a nice drape on the body. Usually I associate bulky with something shapeless, but not in this sense...more like something that doesn't have this kind of ease in movement when worn on the body and seems like it's just big for the sake of being big. A good example for this would be Alexander McQueen menswear, that to me is 'bulky.' Yohji's clothes, whether womens or menswear, always has that sense of ease and movement in the construction, so none of it really feels overwhelming in the proportions, to me at least. Esp. with the coats and pants
