Thank you for posting this detail photo - I feel like it does the design and also the choice of colour a much better service than the runway photos. The Gres-like pleating reminds me of his SS‘05 collection which ranks among my all-time favorites and the purple seems more like a saturated eggplant, which I prefer a lot to how it appears on the runway frontals.

All in all, I‘ve come to the realization that Yohji garments have that tendency to look a lot better in person so I‘m never much disappointed when the runway doesn‘t wow me immediately.
