justin, I LOVED that collection as well. Those swirling hand painted chiffon hippie dresses were magical, the first middle-eastern mashup was beautifully detailed and the Tibetan Barbie section was so much fun.

From the little bit I've heard the music was fantstic too. A string orchestra started very slowly and then halfway into it the techno started...it was beautiful.

The first Dior HC show I remember seeing was s/s 01, the Wonder Woman collection. It was so awesome, brash, colorful, fun, tongue-in-cheek, and very wearable, even by couture standards. It holds a special place for me.
I LOVE the twisted secretaries and the suburbia section of that show so much! Especially the suburbia section:blush:

I loved that F/W show as well ,is that Amber in the blue gown?

I like the SS 03 show with the metallic bkinis ,probably because Julia Stegner wore one on one of my favorite vogue italia covers ever.

I loved the marie antoinette and Joan of Arc themed HC shows as well.

Not the best look from there, but I loved the armor.Like fashion that you could double and use it for battle.

I didn't like the F/W 06.07 Couture ^ Really, John did exagerate too much, it was just not Dior, it was liking he was trying to be more crazy and didn't think of making clothes, and making just crazy outfits for him to be on the newspaper

S/S 07 HC

- it was so genious, this Haute Couture is the best Dior haute couture show ever, the hole set, the clothes, the models, the make up, everything was perfect, and for me HC is about that, the art of perfection!

i LOVED the couture s/s 06 show. i loved how it was inspired by the french revolution. the music, makeup, everything was perfect :D
the s/s 07 couture and f/w 06 couture shows were amazing too

Ohh tough question. I really love most of the HC shows, with a few exceptions. I'll have a look for some of my favourite pieces :shifty:

^^I absolutely LOVE that collection! What's so great about it is...it really doesn't feel dated at all!...with a few insignificant changes, I could totally see John debuting something like this now!

I especially love the styling of the RTW FW 97 show. The hair, the make up, the hats, the shoes...and socks!...and jewelry are so fabulous! All the models look so great!

The 97 shows were the best.
Yep. They were just jaw-dropping and the intensity was fabulous. I also LOVED the F/W? (Spike can help me out here...I dont remember if it was F/W or S/S 1999) 1999 show at Versailles with the insane taxidermy hats. I would wear one they're so genius. I love the wolves.

Sometimes I wish that Dior will be as sophisticated as Balenciaga, I mean, instead of creating, inventing some new things, like new fabrics, new shapes, Galliano simply makes the old new, and this is getting exaustive!

There is no need for another Nicolas Ghesquiere Especially at the house of DIOR. Galliano is everything other designers wish they were.

I don't think so ^ I really don't think Ghesquiére wants to be like Galliano, he's a very great designer, as great as Galliano, or even better
