xPedro....you started my new favorite thread!

I have TOO many, but I'll try to narrow it down to a few that are my absolute favorites.

(in no particular order)

Dior RTW SS 06
I love this SHOW...the clothes are sexy, and I think the black lace on nude is dynamite! I love the setting, I love the music, I love it all!

Dior Haute Couture FW 05
Even though its in sections and I like it better when John does a full couture show without sections, this was still an amazing show! The set was so magical and the music was great! The clothes were so beautiful and I especially loved how everything was sheer...so ghost like and so glamorous! I also loved the Peruvian theme that ran throughout the show.

Dior Haute Couture SS 05
This collection is one of John's best couture collections to date. I absolutely love it when John puts on a...as some like to call it...a drag show, but this collection was so well done and its simplicity was its strength. The theme was so magnificent "Edie Sedgwick meets Empress Josephine"...GENIUS!

Dior Haute Couture FW 04
This was the first fashion show I ever saw and therefor it has a very special place in my heart. I don't know how many times I watched the video on the website when it was up on dior.com! I love the theatrics, the clothes are fabulous, the music is genius and it makes me miss the mirrored runway SO much! This show made me love fashion!

Dior Haute Couture SS 04
Probably the greatest fashion spectacle of all time. Seriously, this collection is a feast for the eyes! Every last design is magnificent. The show itself is spectacular, too. This show has the single greatest opening, with the Beyonce remix and Erin O'Connor walking like an Egyptian! The first several minutes of the show during the Beyonce song still give me chills!

Dior Haute Couture FW 03
I'd kill for the video of this collection! I've never seen a collection before where you can literally SEE passion and fiery romance IN the clothes. The first several flamenco dresses make me weak in the knees! The soundtrack to the show is one of Jeremy's best, too!

To tell the truth, I love EVERY Dior collection (except this new, 'mature' Dior....I hate you Sydney Toledano). But these shows in particular stick out as the ones that I love the most.

why rewrite the whole thing when i feel the exact same thing! jsut notice i changes fw 04 description with 05, for that's the one i trully love!

i've got to agree with you on the last point. I hate the "mature dior". i am tired of all those silks and satins and the lady bags (samourai)... i miss so much the jeans and young looks.
there's other ways to be mature or classy without being a logo-label-wh*re

EDIT: i must say i love ss06 couture too!! (the one xpedro posted)
the soundtrack was amazing in that one... and every look is TDF

I KNOW!!! You don't have to make Galliano design senior citizen clothes simply because you don't want to sell t shirts in the stores!!! So crazy! But the worst part is, the show itself can't even save it from being boring. Dior shows used to be super exciting...the mirrored runway, the bright, colored lights, the genius soundtrack mixing on Jeremy Healy's part! Now...every aspect of the show is unbearably boring. I'm a Dior video fiend, and Dior RTW SS 08 is the only Dior video I have never watched from beginning to end because the show is just so dull!

The HC SS 04 show is the first one I saw that made me fall in love with John Galliano and Dior Haute Couture, so that one has a special place in my heart, lol! The Egyptian theme was just spectacular - the headpieces, the shining gold were just fabulous and just reflects the splendor I would associate with ancient Egypt in its heyday.

I also love the HC SS 07 show because I could see myself wearing some of the pieces!

These in particular:

I loved to colors used and the prints on the fabrics, I thought the whole show was very beautiful IMO

^i found that ss07 show to be much much much much better than the 60th aniversary! a lot more seriously! last couture for john was jsut as boring as his last rtw ... decieving

^^I agree. I liked the first several outfits of Haute Couture FW 07, they were very tasteful. However, there were lots of dresses that were just too much and the colors were too pastel.

I still can't believe that Galliano did that awful SS08 show ¬¬'

haha

my favorite show (although there are several that i really like)

Dior a/w 01 Haute Couture

i really liked the a/w 01 ready to wear show also...
the london map print is sweet.
i found one of the t-shirts, but my dream item is a full on jumpsuit made in that print.

I like the S/S06 RTW show too, it's like Dior should be, sexy, chic, wearable & full of energy

I Simply Loved The Fw07 Collection @_@ The Dresses, The Music, Everything @_@

justin, this one is so gorgeous!
DIOR_HC_AW01_046.jpg

I love how the skirt is a reinterpretation of those middle eastern scarves....genius.
(catwalking)

s/s 2004 RTW.
- the suits were amazing..and so was the rest of the 'dietrich' inspired collection.

s/s 2004 HC
- when i saw erin o'connor opening the show in that gold poofy geometric dress, my jaw dropped.

SS HC 2004......forever imprinted in my brain. Forever....!

justin, I LOVED that collection as well. Those swirling hand painted chiffon hippie dresses were magical, the first middle-eastern mashup was beautifully detailed and the Tibetan Barbie section was so much fun.

From the little bit I've heard the music was fantstic too. A string orchestra started very slowly and then halfway into it the techno started...it was beautiful.

The first Dior HC show I remember seeing was s/s 01, the Wonder Woman collection. It was so awesome, brash, colorful, fun, tongue-in-cheek, and very wearable, even by couture standards. It holds a special place for me.

the first part of the show was actually inspired by catwoman (played by Michelle Pfeiffer) in "Batman Returns," who is, indeed, a twisted secretary
