fashion_junky, I love that pistachio B bag, too - I really wish I'd been on the Balenciaga bandwidth when those came out.
I've been looking at this thread title the last couple of days and kind of avoiding it, thinking it would be full of lists of ...well, bags I don't like that I won't name. But I've been really pleasantly surprised by the variety of bags and quantities that people own - it's really interesting, thank you all for sharing.
I feel like I've been searching for the perfect bag all my life, and have bought and discarded many imperfect ones. It wasn't until I recently discovered Balenciaga bags (I know! do I live in a cave??) that I actually wanted to own more than one bag of a kind. Here's what I currently have (I'll post photos if I remember - I can't get to them from this computer
Balenciaga
- 2002 original messenger, brown
- 2003 suede classique, brown
- 2004 pochette clutch, grey
- 2005 shrug, caramel
2 small but heavy Coach shoulder bags that I'm giving to Goodwill, when I can find them
A strange but cool small Fendi pouch
A Hobo kiss-lock pochette, antique yellow
A really cool tamborine-shaped natural tan stamped-leather bag from Canada about 20 years ago - the only bag I've kept a long time, though I rarely use it.
The one bag I regret getting rid of? Another tamborine-shaped, handmade, real croco bag from the 1940's that belonged to my mother. I don't even remember what I did with it, but somebody got very lucky.
