What handbags will be big in AW/05?

I hope that the LV Epi line grows in popularity. I love the texture and the shapes are so classic.

yup..epi is great and understated..not wanna-be trendy like the rest of the logo crazed LV lines.

Bottega Veneta's weave bags...I just saw their Medium Hobo in GOLD on Saks and nearly died. And I'm not a handbag person. If I have one good handbag, I'll use it forever. I'm a shoe girl. So considering that I'd give my left arm for that bag, that says something. LOL.

I'm totally loving this!

Valention Tulip Hobo - $850

That is the new suhali shape...it's currently out of stock at eluxury so...

personally, i like...

bottega veneta definitely gaining momentum, really like the tote bag with weave details,
marni basket straw bags with charms, more more more!
louis vuitton crotchet with 3-d monogram - won't ever use it, but the idea is great
hyde s.k independent london designer, bags have a strong native american influence, underground for now but popular in japan
tamara bloch independent london designer, her ss05 stripey totes and weave shoulder bags are nice
head porter always count on them for functional, well-made bags
bliss lau pretty, pleated bags

yeah porter bags are excellant ^_^
i use mine almost everyday for carrying heavy books....

i think the top bag would look good if it was dyed a different color such as a stain of dark brick/purple...the weave compliments the rope theme this season...
...as for the bottom, i could see a rust brown with a thick burnished gold edge running along the opening..

My New Handbag for Spring 2005!

I just got a new handbag today and want to share the news!! ^_^ It's an Orange New D Bag Mini from Tod's... Firstly, I didn't intend to buy it (and didn't feel anything special when I saw the ads in the magazines). But when I saw it, I just love  the color, style and size and can't help falling for it!! Actually I think my bag looks a bit more orange than in the pic.

The second pic (from eluxury) show how it hangs on the shoulder. Actually the lime also looks cool, but it is somehow a bit too bright for me...

i dont know where to post my question so i guess i'll do it here..maybe someone can help me

I bought this medium size silver metallic handbag not so long ago but i just cant decide it its just too late for that trend or if i can still enjoy it... i have mix feelings about this one...

comments ?

Metalics were definetly a huge FW0405 trend, but I don't think it is too late. A lot of designers are doing metalic bags more and more often lately, and I think that you could still get a few good seasons out of your bag.

thank you MJcouture..im usually pretty confident about what i like and adopt but this one made me feel akward for a minute even tho i wanted to rock it...

Are The Chloe Silverado bags still HOT?

I am on the waitinglist for the Neutral Python. But been having doubts! Hot or NOT?

yeah chloe seems to be a pretty hot designer on the bag front. but my vote still goes to the paddy bag

aw the lv suhali is pretty, how much is it? i think bottega veneta will be big in 05 i want one really bad! and i think balenciaga will stay trendy for the most part

Hi i am new here but for what it is worth I am handbag fanatic!!! i think Chloe python bags, Paddington bags, Mulberry Roxanne in ooak & Joni in chocolate & of course balenciaga in all new colours!!!! LV Manhattan looks good too but I like the GM size!!

Will the Paddington still be hot as ever? How about Spy and Dior Detective?

Your thoughts?

there's going to be a python version of the paddington, so i'm sure that will be hot:

i also think new vuitton bags will be flying out of stores too, and maybe the gucci velvet embossed bags.

geez...i think that giant lock is pretty awful...
chloe bags are soooo hot or miss IMO...

very inconsistent...odd...

i think dior is dead...and it looks to me like balenciaga is hotter than ever...
i'm surprised that the mulberry hasn't expolded completely over here...maybe it will start to ...

the bottom line is...
i think whatever the little teeny bopper celebs are carrying will wind up bing a 'must-have' for their hordes of fans...and that's what will be hot...

I think the Spy might get a bit more popular... Balenciaga has a few years left to run I think...
