Here is my collection -- I am pretty sure I qualify as a real purse nut. This is about 50-60% of the collection. These are bags I've acquired over a period of 20+ years.

They run the gamut from authentic to inspired styles. During my days as a young urban professional, I could well afford to buy authentic. Coach, mainly black. The Coach backpack was a gift from hubby. It is a classic.

I shopped almost exclusively at Daffy's on Madison Avenue for the best deals like the the Paloma Picasso and Anne Klein II (black tote with the gold bauble on the right). I'm fond of Birkin/Kelly styles including (ack) a Jelly Kelly for rainy days. I "splurged" recently for the Fendi Mamma, luv-er-ly with dark denims!!

My current favorites are my motorcycle bags and hand-dyed Tano Gerard hobo bags (foreground).

sure, I got mine at Barney's NYC in January. You should try to get one at net-a-porter.com, they'll be getting theirs soon. E-mail them and ask and you might be able to get hold of one or call all the MJ boutiques?

Nicole Kass -- I am so jelous of your Magenta work I hope to find one in good condition on eBay eventually but they are so rare to come by in the work size. the rest of our collections are quite similar, I even used to have a black stam.
