Anyone who has a burgundy patent Muse--PLEASE post photos!! I can't make up my mind between the black patent and the burgundy for fall. And I can't decide between the large and oversize, either. Decisions, decisions. The Neiman's closest to me doesn't carry YSL and the nearest one that does is in Chicago, which is a pain to travel to, and I wouldn't want to go there to look at them in person only to have them not have it in stock.

If any of you Muse owners also have an MJ Stam, how does the size compare of either the oversize or large? I love the size of the Stam and it's my largest bag but I wouldn't want to go TOO much larger. The oversize might also look silly in patent and dated in the near future--I want my Muse to be more of a classic.

i totally did not like the patent muse at all

but then i saw it in person. its gorgeous. i dont think i like it better than the regular, but its stunning. I only saw the black because i didnt go in to ysl, and the black was in the window.they also had a croc one in the window that was gorgeous.

at saks, they had a bunch sitting out in every color that is currently out, including the leopard which is another one that i didnt think i would like but now love.

I really wish I had this in white. I went for a black version but I think the white really compliments the shape of the bag.

Love the black patent. I saw black, white and camel patent in large and oversized. My favourite color is black patent. It is so gorgeous.

It's actually the opposite, the oversized has the shortest handles of all the sizes. But then I don't know if the large and medium have handles of the same length as each other, sorry.

Why are you sad about the oak, you wanted chocolate? Did you receive the bag yet? If not, maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised, I think the oak is a stunning color

That's really bizarre. I think that just cinched my decision to get the large, then--if I'm going to have a *huge* bag, I at least want handles to match that will fit comfortably over my shoulder.

Personally I think it makes sense for the oversized to have such short handles, as the huge bag would hang down to your knees otherwise. I guess I have a shorter torso than most people because I'm always struck when I see pictures of people with their oversized muses at how the bag usually ends around their hips. Mine hangs down until about my greater trochanter (that bone that juts out on the outside of your thigh near the top), if the handles were longer, it would look foolish I think

Usually the stitching. I've seen really good leather ones with weird stitching. That's a dead giveaway.

I think you should go ahead with the black patent. The shape is VERY classic, so I don't think you need to worry about that at all, and you do keep comming back to the Muse. While the plain leather may be more obviously classic, I think that the patent can be just as classic for someone with your style. And since you wear so much black this will provide a better contrast for you I think.

Does anyone know how much a consignment shop or vintage shop will buy the Muse bag for? I want to look for the place that offers the best price for a large Muse. Since I paid full retail, I do not want to only get 10% for it. Is the Muse still a popular bag?
