Guccigal, I saw the smaller leopard muse on BG, but there weren't any measurements. Do you know how small it is? Would you recommend it? I really like it and am considering it.

coco - i just saw in the april elle mag (US) a model holding the white muse in a summertime setting. i thought it looked great with what she was wearing and throught the white muse "fits" the season very well. i didn't purchase the mag so i can't scan you a pic (i am waiting for my subscription to arrive) but if you have that mag, it's towards the last half of the mag.

I have been using my Muse for less than a week and the stitches came off. My friend was at a YSL shop and the SA told her that the stitches will come off eventually and that creates a "vintage" look. I think she meant "distressed". Did any other Muse owners encounter this?

No, mine looks great. I would return for repairs in your case; that is unacceptable.

I called the SA to place the order. It turns out that olivr bag is Yris bag which has suede piping around and has the Y shape when you look from either side and it comes with a detachable shoulder strap. it is not the oversized muse which I have been drooling the day I read ur post with pic of it.

Anyhow, I still placed the order. Wait till I get it and compare with my oversized white muse. Then I will make a decision.I am in love with my white muse now though..ohh...why o why we have to make such tough decision all the time.

I carried mine for 10 days/nights straight on a trip and it still looks like new. I would have freaked if the stitches started coming off! They should NEVER come off with just regular use. That YSL SA is wacko!! Take it back and get another. (out of curiostiy - where on the bag did the stitches come off ?)

The thick stitches on both sides where the "Y" are. I have been treating it as a baby. I wear it over the shoulders and am thinking if it is the friction between the Muse and my coat (but it's just a wool coat with no hardware!).

My friend told me that the MUSE demo bag at the YSL store has all its stitches coming off. Any one in HK can go to its store in Central to have a look.

Are all sizes of the muse lined in satin? Are all YSL bags lined this way?

Hi everyone. Tlking about the stitches again, I've called the store and the SA told me that those are hand sewn. Those stitches flying out are "normal" and if the whole thing come out within the warranty priod, they will repair it for free. After that, there will be a charge.

It's not anything that you've done - it's faulty. If I were you, I would take it back and ask them to get you another. (I'm just appalled when I hear things like this)

I think our posts crossed paths!! Did the SA say how long the warranty period is? It is NOT normal - no way. If that happened to my bag and I took it back to Neiman Marcus, they wouldn't even blink an eye at replacing it. I would go higher up - talk to the store manager - or the regional manager or contact YSL corporate (and I wouldn't be very nice about it, if I were you. If they think they can just brush you off, they will). I am mad about this for you (and sorry too ) Let us know what happens!

Thank you for your concern Janyoung99. The SA that I talked to is exceptionally nice. She told me that at the point of purchase, her colleagues should have told us about the stitches (someone got it for me). The warranty period is 2 years with receipt.

The stitches are the thick ones (wiht no practical use) and I would have gone mad if the construction stitches fly off.

I thought when I first found out: the tassles of Balenciaga motorcyles split too; this will never happen to Hermes.

I'll see how "vintage" it looks as time goes by.

my peko -- I have the same thing. There are like 2-3 stiches that are biggining to come off a little bit. It seems very easy to fix though, I'm sure my tailor could do it in a flash. It doesn't bother me enough to get it done yet though. The stiches have also dakrened a tiny bit on the back where they rub on my jeans, but the leather it's self is still perfect.

you guys, I need help, I'm failing miserably at finding a muse

I'd rather get one from a dept store because of the return policy, but I feel like the only ones around are at YSL boutiques. Any leads?? Anyone?? I've decided I want an oversized chocolate one so badly, when my SA told me she had 0 luck getting one I wanted to start crying on the spot
