Saks has a red muse for fall pre-order (not expected to ship until septemeber, the insanity). Anyway, does anyone know what shade of red? Is it a burgundy, or more true/fire engine red?

peppers....check out a few post back...someone posted a pic. its lovely. its a brick red...but not totally brick. Its like you take a cherry red then tone it down.

Thanks for the info, I just searched and saw it. Not sure if I like that color, it might be the way the picture/flash worked. I want a bright red for some reason, don't know why and that picture seemed to show a more muted color. I am on the fence now and will have to think about it.

yeah it put me on the fence too. I was getting the red mombasa....because I was hoping it would be bright but if its this muted color I might as well get something else.

^^I agree with Brian. I think the Muse just wouldn't look right in a garish red. It's a classy timeless bag - fire engine red would look odd and strange on the beautiful Muse. I love the red that they choose for the Fall - it suits the bag, which to me is the more important factor.

I think so too. just too much color. That is why I wanted the mombasa in the red bc I thought it would be like in your face red...and the mombasa would look better but this brick red...which isn't that brick....is nice

Hi Kaka! Umm, I haven't used my square Muse yet. I'm gonna use it as a laptop bag and you know, a bag I can use to put in my stuff for like the plane or something. I already bought the new Louis Vuitton carryall though. Anyway, it's quite roomy. I have 3 other Muse bags. So, it's pretty much different than the other Muses. I don't recommend it as a handbag though. But, everyone has different taste. So, it's up to you. It'd make a great day/office bag. You can put in your papers and stuff like that. The bag is like 15 inches. So, you can fit papers and so on. Anyway, when I saw it first, they only had it in brown. I didn't like it in brown though. So, I ordered a black one. It's a nice, classic bag.

just wanted to say that I've been using my Muse all week as I'm working on the technical staff for a production in a theater, and I've been packing it with my binder, laptop, tools, change of sneakers, etc. It's been taking a beating in the theater and I'm only falling more and more in love with it. It's soooo damm easy to to keep all of those things well sorted in the bag and find them in a second.

When I first got the Muse I was worried that the leather, especially on the straps, was too thin to withstand the weight I put in it (like when I carry my laptop), but it's holding up amazingly well.



and now to think about muse #2...
