YSL Muse

just wanted to say that I've been using my Muse all week as I'm working on the technical staff for a production in a theater, and I've been packing it with my binder, laptop, tools, change of sneakers, etc. It's been taking a beating in the theater and I'm only falling more and more in love with it. It's soooo damm easy to to keep all of those things well sorted in the bag and find them in a second.

When I first got the Muse I was worried that the leather, especially on the straps, was too thin to withstand the weight I put in it (like when I carry my laptop), but it's holding up amazingly well.



and now to think about muse #2...

Oh....that's exactly how I feel, too....thinking about #2....Red?

Anyways, is your Muse getting really soft? I've carried mine for a week, and it got soooooo soft. She can't even stand straight anymore, sort of. Is it how it's supposed to be?

yes she's super slouchy. when she's sitting, she can't keep her shape at all (and I like this by the way, this is a huge plus in my eye), but obviously with gravity, when its on the shoulder, it takes its shape back pretty well, it only looks slouchy when worn on the shoulder if it's on the empty side, not something I do very often....

Would the Large Muse fit a laptop? Or is the oversized better suited for that?

yup, the white one is exactly what I want. I'm just worried that what most attracts me to my chocolate one is how rough I can treat it, and obviously with white it would be a different story. But somehow I feel like the muse can just take it, even in white, it just seems destructable.

I also stuff mine full of tissue when I store is so it hasn't gotten very slouchy yet. Except for the stiching darkening a tiny bit, it looks great. I have a feeling the corners will also darken slightly, but I still think it'll look fabulous overall.

I got my Muse at the end of February, and I use it about once a week.

Total guess about the extra locks, but maybe if it's an editorial or ad they just tookt he locks off other muses and put them on the one muse?

I agree with GG1.....I think its random maybe the fall metallics will have it...but just a fluke type of thing. The Muse bags have the lock on the top middle in the center and the fauve bags like my snow leopard have it on the size like that....FYI

so I am guessing it means nothing....and it looks like the side lock was just hooked on the rings for whatever reason...because it doesn't look right and its awk.

ALSO someone pmed me about what size bag they should get. I can't answer that! Some really short people like big bags...like the Olsens. Some tall people like me like big bags! My mom is tall and she likes smaller. I suggest trying them on and really deciding for yourself.

I am an oversized all the way...but that is me!

I knew you'd have some 411 about the photo. Other than the weird lock situation - I think the bag looks great on her!

I'm a big bag gal too - and i'm a medium sized person (5'5). For me the larger size suits the Muse shape the best. But then again they have yet to make a Muse I don't think it lovely.

After using my XL Muse for the past few weeks - all my other bags feel too small!

^^It kind of reminded me of the YSE or Bugatti Satchel - the way they have "side locks":

nat_attak - I don't know, it looks really similar to the YSL lock shape (from the side). Although the bag in the photo is definitely a Muse - it looked for a sec like it also had the side lock thing going on.....
