ack! i've wanted the muse in white since december 05 but have held off and got a chloe in whisky instead. this thread makes me want to dump my paddy in favor of the muse. seriously. i'm calling the beverly hills and south coast plaza stores to see what they have.

now the question is, which color would be the most versatile? i'm thinking white might be out by fall. any thoughts?

The Paddy has nothing on the Muse.

I would recommend the Chocolate Brown. The White is gorgeous and could be worn year-round, but the Chocolate is absolutely divine and would require less maintenance than the White would.

I think the Chocolate brown is the most versatile color (for only one muse). It works in summer or winter.
That said I think that the chocolate & white are the muses' most striking colors. I also think it depends on where you live. If you're in say Miami the white could be used year round. If you live in chicago - then I wouldn't purchase the white for your one and only Muse.

I don't think the white will go out of style. I just think its more seasonal if that makes any sense?

^^^The black is very striking too. I have a gazillion black bags though - which is why I ordered the chocolate - plus the chocolate in certain light almost looks black (DH always refers to it as the huge black bag) which some people love and others do not. I guess that's why they came out with Oak for a more "true brown".

Honestly any muse will be a beautiful Muse though - you really can't go wrong - there are no "bad" colors.

AAARRRGGGG - Damn NM!

So...I went away on vaca last week -and my muse should have been waiting for me when I got back. Well no bag - so I called and THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER!!! No calls - no warning - nothing.

Long story short I talked to a manager and got it all straightened out (they're shipping me the first Ivory Muse they have) - but man - i'm so fed up with them.

(They cancelled my chloe edith order - then low and behold what shows up 3 months later - they need to get their *&^ together!)

neimans does that. I had the ediths on order but cancelled them myself and they still shipped out....

I ordered a handbag for my mom and told them to hold to ship it...delay it for 2 weeks while I was out of town....which they do....and they day it was supposed to ship they cancelled.

so annoying.

^^^That's EXACTLY what happened with me. It was suppose to ship on the 17th - and that's the day they cancelled it. I was really upset that no one let me know. If I hadn't called - i'd be sitting here waiting for my Muse to arrive having no idea that it was never coming!

^^I'd stay away!!! Who has access to "wholesale Muses"? To me "wholesale" is another word for REPLICA!
If you do a google search there are a ton of places that supposedly offer "wholesale muses" - fake fake fake!

Ladies, if I may ask all of you for some kind advice... As always, I'm always feeling overwhelmed with the different bags that I would love to own. I would love to own all, but am very constrained by what I can buy which means that for me a bag needs to be able to transition from day time to night time. What do you think of the Muse's ability to go from a day bag to a night bag? Do any of you ladies carry it for nice dinners or to a wine bar? I would so love to hear your opinion on this. Thanks in advance!

hey there bling......personally I wouldn't carry the oversized muse out or a bar or anything. Its really big and you want to keep it close. I don't carry any nice bags out...I carry clutches.

the website says that it's legit but it does look a little suspicious to me. their website says they have an actual store located in new york, maybe someone can visit...

Where is your outlet located?
We do have a store located in New York City. We are located at 204 West 35th Street (between 7th and 8th Ave)

35th between 7th and 8th is the garment district. not impossible, but highly unlikely. it's more for designers, patternmakers, sample makers, graders, etc. not as much for retail. the only retail store that's decent in that area is new york look.

definitely not. when i go out i'll take crappy little bags or just my wallet. i'm thinking about getting a nicer 'evening bag' for myself but i'm not sure what... i wanted a dior gaucho but i've decided against it...maybe a chanel 2.55..?

on another note--have any of you noticed the hardware on your muses getting more aged/darker with use? mine is starting to tarnish a little bit more and i really like it.

guccigal, i think white it is! and guess what, the store i called has it in patent leather - new for fall! and easier to clean, i guess. plus it's $100 less than the buffalo leather bags. the s.a. i spoke with says the patent bags come in black and reddish orange which are not yet in their stores. they only have the white right now.

has anyone seen their patent bags? i wonder how durable they are compared to buffalo leather. i would die if i ever scratched one.
