I agree, the Muse is not a going out bag. Unless you're going for the just came from work look. I have the large size and would not enjoy navigating thru restaurants or bars with it.

brian mine are getting more tarnished. i noticed it yesterday and was so happy I loved it!

yeah never bring a good bag out. You might set it on a chair but ppl walk buy and touch things or spill, etc. and if you are forced to sit at a 2 top and you have to keep in your lap the whole time or on the horrible floor.

this is a day bag most bags are...the fendi spy, etc etc.

I know exactly what you mean about having bag phases! Sometimes it just depends on what you are wearing, other times it just depends on what bags are with you (especially when you are travelling), sometimes it just simply boils down to how you feel like it.

I am still intrigued by the leopard muse after so long...so I guess it does mean something.
I could always treat myself to a leather Muse next season I guess

brian - they had the rive gauche bag the trunk show this weekend when i went. they had the green one (SOOOO PRETTY!!!). i tried it on and played with it. the leather is really soft but durable - kidskin. i ordered the east-west rive gauche in the grey and i can't wait to see it IRL. been waiting for a good grey bag to come along and this could be it!

edit: it fits over the shoulder nicely and look great handheld or on shoulders.

speaking of the leapord muse- i am torn about the color- should i get the darker orangey one or the snowey color? what is the general opinion on that?

^^I really don't like the Orange one too much. But that's just me - it looks to p*rn star or something?
The white on the other hand is TDF! I think this bag has edge and class. Definitely get the white patterned one!!!

I personally prefer the snow leopard more, having seen both IRL.

The snow leopard is actually more outstanding and easier to match since inherently it breaks down into basic colours of beige,white and black, while I see the orange leopard as a more "A/W-only" bag.

But then again, I could be biased. Whenever I see the snow leopard, my vision takes on a hazy glow around it

saw IRL for pre-fall:

white patent large (pretty!)
black patent large (pretty too!)

- chocolate patent, which i saw IRL on a different bag (tote). i didn't even know it was brown when i saw it as it had lots of deep purplish red undertones on it. in fact, i had mistaken it for burgundy when i first saw it. when i took it off the shelf and dragged it around the store in different light, i realized it was indeed chocolaty color, but not the color as you know it on the chocolate muse, whichc i have also seen IRL. very gorgeous!!! so they didn't have this leather/color combo on the muse in the store, but it has been ordered for pre-fall. i put myself on the wishlist just to see.

i went to the trunk show a little bit ago, and i'm totally torn between the black patent and the chocolate patent...
the chocolate patent is such an interesting color...
it reminds me of my ink balenciaga the way the color shifts in different lights...
but i hardly ever wear brown...
