Socal - congrats on you BEAUTIFUL bags!!
I had forgotten that I had ordered the small/med in Ivory from NM back in Dec. until it arrived yesterday. I had returned the large black to Bergdorf's - just wasn't "me". But I like the ivory alot more - and the size is better for me as well. Have alot of bags I'm lusting over this season so don't know if I'm going to keep it or not - I'm so used to slouchy bags and distressed leather that my eye is having trouble adjusting to this bag.
BTW - I don't think the Muse in any size works for a man. It's the gold hardware - if the hardware were bronze or pewter or antiqued in some way, I think it would work. Just my opinion though.

I agree with Jan. When the question was first posed, I was not sure how to respond. I think the muse is feminine in some way, perhaps it is the large, round gold hardware pieces.

I'm 5'2" but afraid I'm might not be able to pull it off.

Klowchloe, ive been offline for a while and just noticed your comment. Are you still umming and ahhing about this?? Just do it! I'm 5ft2 and I LOVE THIS SIZE! For all of you shorties out there, stop worrying, the oversize/ xl size is GREAT! Being short just adds to the effect of the bag proportion!! That's how it's meant to be!!

Yes I'm still umming and ahhing too much worry. I almost got the ivory online the other days but decided not too. If I'm not happy and need to return back it would cost me aud$150 to ship the package back.

I hope I could see one IRL here and just try it on and see hoe it look on me.
Btw you have the stam as well right so how the size XL compare to the stam.
I think the stam is big but is still look good on me.

Hi Klow...I assure you I am 5ft2!!! about 158cm. The Muse is about twice the size of the Stam at least. But, the muse is lighter as the leather and hardware is lightweight. I LOVE the ivory... but can't justify it . Btw, has YSL in Sydney not got them in yet?

Okay you guys, here I go.......I finally took a pic of me holding my small/med ivory Muse. (It IS so pretty but I think I'm going to be returning it.) I was able to get the pic onto my computer, now let's hope I can get it posted (and in the correct size).
Oh Rats! Looks like it didn't work. Okay - bear with me, I'll keep trying.

Well, I guess it kind of worked. How would I have just posted the pic and not that long code thing?? (You can tell what a dinosaur I am). As far as the Muse - I wouldn't get a larger size - I like this size alot. It's just that there are several bags I want this season and even though I think this bag is gorgeous, I'm having trouble converting my eye to a more structured, smooth leather bag like this. Which is giving me second considerations because I probably "need" (haha) a bag like this in my wardrobe. I'm going to hang on to it for awhile since NM is so good about returns and keep thinking about it. BTW - I saw the leather trimmed linen at Saks and it is REALLY gorgeous.

As far as bags that I want.....(where do I begin)......I have the Fendi b bag on order and the Chloe Edith and am thinking about another Balenciaga.....nothing that looks like this. My husband and I are going to Palm Beach in a couple of weeks where I'll be wearing more "dressed up" sportswear - as opposed to my usual jeans - and I think a bag like this is better for that look as opposed to a slouchy, vintage-y looking bag. I do have the Chanel reissue however, which is good for that (good with everything IMO). Decisions, decisions....
