YSL Muse

I'm really starting to love the Muse especially the white and brown. I do have concerns about the white getting dirty though. Those of you who have the white Muse, is there a problem with colour transfer say from your jeans or other items of clothing? And the handles.. do they tend to get yellowish after a while due to use? I know the lighter Balenciaga colours get like that in their handles and that's kinda off-putting to me.

The brown Muse.. that's a very dark brown colour, isn't it? Can someone pls post a pic of the brown? I like the black too but have some black bags already so hoping to get one of the other colours. And if the brown is quite dark, that would be lovely!

^the brown is super dark, i'll take pictures tomorrow, but looking at it across the room, you can't tell if it's brown or black...

and I don't have the white, but I think it has the sort of shelac that makes it easy to maintain clean. Guessgirl only had a little denim transfer on the white stitches (which aren't protected like the leather is), but I seem to remember her getting the blue out just fine....or am I confusing this thread with the edith one now??!!

Thanks mundodabolsa! That really helps. Or maybe it doesn't, lol! Now I'm torn equally between the white and choc brown! I was kinda half hoping someone would tell me the white is a headache to keep clean and everything turns yellowish. Or that the white is great but the brown is a lightish brown.

Ok, with the white.. do u think maybe that's more a seasonal colour ie. more trendy? I know browns and blacks generally transcend time and have lasting power. Hmm, maybe I should go with brown. But then again, I don't have any white bags! Argh, dilemma..

I went with brown because it was easier to get, and I'm super happy with the decision, but, I think the muse is stunning in white. And I didn't have a white bag until a different one I bought this fall, and it's amazing how much I love using that other white bag. I'm totally a fan of white bags in winter. I think it's easier to pull off a white bag in winter than a dark colored bag in the middle of summer, in my opinion.

don't hold your breath....the reissue thread is still waiting for the pics I promised a week ago....I'm one lazy lady :p

i just saw the red muse posting on ebay. i hate to say this, but i really hate the red. i expected a very dark and classy red, but i think this red is too bright for a bag like the muse, almost childish and a bit tacky.

apple...also consider that the seller takes horrible pics. I mean she can't even put stuffing in the bag to make it look good. I think its a great red but I bet its a little less brite in person bc this person can't take pics

i should go check out the red at some point...first i have to catch up with all the tsf posts i missed today! ;)

is that red muse authentic? something about it doesn't look right. is it just me or does the stitching look really bad?

It's not bad, but it looks a bit plain. Kind of reminds me of a Tods bag almost. I personally like the Mombasa better.

it does look at plain compared to the clothes

I have to agree with everyone that the muse looks so fabulous in every color I've seen...I love my white because it feels so young, fresh and bright and catches everyone's eyes...but I love my black just as much for its subtle class...and GG's snow leopard is to die for!...if only I could pull something like that off!

I don't know what it is about the bag. But I feel the ones that have them...should def be called Musers....I mean its a feeling you get when you carry the bag. I might sound super lame...but it just works!

I just called YSL Madison to find out a few things. They don't know what the fall.pre-fall colors will be for the Muse. They only know for sure chocolate suede. I will call the manager of the Houston boutique later on.

They are sticking with the same colors of the mombasa.....cognac, dark brown, white, putty and black. Medium/classic size is $845 and the large is $945

By the way...has anyone found out anything else about why the stamps are in different locations on the bags?...still curious if this signifies anything or is really just random...

I have an oversized black muse I got a few weeks ago...it had just arrived from Italy...and its right under the lock thing.

so far, everyone that has one its under the lock, but down on the bottom in some online store photos...odd

things often get changed from the prototypes to the actual mass-produced items. they probably just changed the position of the stamp at the last minute.
