hahahah! but seriously...to muse owners: is the ring a solid ring? or does it have a gap somewhere???? i have an MJ multipocket that was a store sample and one of the rings was supposed to be held in place with this lil' piece of metal...the metal broke and now the ring rotates...and there a little gap in it....


........maybe it was a run in with paparazzi....:rofl:

on mine, there's a gap :<
 
is it a large gap??? im wondering if this could be one of those infamous "design flaws"....like the first batch of stam bags and the kisslock troubles...

^^^Me too! I already pre-ordered it even though it won't arrive for months! I know it's not a color for everyone - but i'm a huge fan of that hermes-like Orange color. :heart:

I really hope it lives up to my (huge) expectations of her!

i just looked closely(on the 2 large side rings where watts' is opened) and there's a thin space or gap but a pin inside bridging the gap. sort of like a hoop earring pinched together?

the gaps in the 4 smaller handle rings are hidden in metal tubes, i'm guessing since i can't turn them around.

wow, i'm totaly wondering what happened to Watts' bag?..maybe the leather piece got caught in a car door and it started moving away, bending the ring open?

can't believe i'm so into this...:blink::lol:

the same thing that happened to naomi's muse happened to mine a couple days ago :(

i was just shopping in soho with some friends and after we got up from lunch i noticed that one of the pin things in the middle had disappeared! i have NO idea what happened to it, or how it came off, but it did, and i had to wind up flipping the ring over so it sticks out of the top loop instead of the bottom one, so i guess i sorta fixed it :innocent:

it definitely makes me feel better tho knowing that it happened to a celebrity as well :D
 
The metal is brass,puccimama.

I'm shocked by that pic of Naomi's muse. I would be terribly upset if that happened to mine.:o
 
Has anyone seen this color in the stores? It looks like suede to me. And is this the fauve or Yse? I can't seem to differentiate the two, they look so similar! :unsure:

nicole's bag looks like the fauve to me cuz the 'Y' stitchings are on the sides and not in the middle, i think.. someone correct me if i'm wrong.
 
I believe Nicole's bag would be called the Fauve. I never understood the need for the Fauve/Yse discrepancy. The design of the bag is the same. The only bag I have seen labeled "Yse" is the oversized version, so I guess that is how YSL distinguishes between the two sizes. The Muse is a Muse regardless of the size, so I don't know why the Fauve/Yse couldn't have been the same way.

Nicole's bag is in fact suede. That same bag also came in a fuschia color. It's a very nice looking bag, but the maintenance I imagine would be pretty high. I gazed at the bag in the boutique on several occasions, but I never picked it up because I knew suede was out of the question for me. This is the first time I've seen anyone (celebrity or otherwise) carrying this bag. Thanks for the picture.
 
Last evening I saw two Muses on sale at Bergdorf Goodman. They were both large and one is the linen with metallic leather trim (Yse?) and the other was all leather yellowy tan color. The linen one makes a good neutral summer bag ...

thanks for explaining! it sounds like the exact same method MJ used on the multipocket with a t-pin type design that held the ring in place...and broke.
