the purple and grey croc are amazing! i'd take any in the picture.

Thanks Kimair!! The Fall colors are amazing.

I tried it on again a few days ago and I'm still in love...

not at all. from the experience of a friend who owns this bag in both sizes, the bag is too soft and slouchy to support books or anything heavy. also, it's not really even big enough to hold things like textbooks, since it's only about 12" in height. it can hold small magazines or small books, dvds, maybe a few lightweight notebooks for class, but nothing heavy. the strap is also awkwardly placed on the bag, it's attached to the back and stitched, and with a lot of weight on it it might break. my friend and other people i know who have this bag have complained about the strap being kind of fragile and almost breaking.

i don't understand ysl's obsession with mini versions of their bags, first the muse, then the downtown, now this...

the tiny besace is so useless, seriously.

i think the whole mini thing might have to do with how popular ysl is in asia :ninja:

The mini-version of their bags really doesn't make sense, it's just such an awkward size on most people.

I am thinking about the YSL Besace croc embosses in grey, but I wonder if it looks mascline enough?? I am quite not sure about the golden hardware in it?

^Definitely. What I love about the Besace is how androgynous it is and that makes it suitable to be carried by either a man or a woman.
The gold hardware is not that bling (at least for the one I have), but more on the muted side.

I just bought the Besace in turquoise since YSL is having such a good sale. :)
