I've been eyeing off these bags with all the reductions going on, but I'm concerned about how they would be under heavy use The canvas and straps make it seem like it'll be quite fragile, and I would be using it to carry things like thin folders/etc

Cicciolina, I have had this bag since early 08 and it has held up pretty well to my usage.
I use it to carry mags and plastic folders and squish it into my desk drawer doh at work, and it's pretty hardy, the canvas shows no signs of fraying. I only close the bag using the central clasp as it's easier to access stuff this way and surprisingly the bag gets more pliant with use.

i saw the version that plain.jane posted on sale at neiman marcus as well... (not online but in the store)..

but that was the day before christmas so i can't say that my information is really current...
i made myself walk away before i decided to empty my bank account to buy all the beautiful bags they had and i've resisted going back ever since

water_daisy, I have seen pictures of the Majorelle, but not one IRL. I think a white Majorelle will be the perfect summer bag but a black patent one will be classic!
The besace is not heavy at all and it's a medium size bag..though it can a be little on the heavy side if it's packed full.

I just came across this thread. Im a big fan of the ysl muse two in blue, anyone know where i can find one? Cant seem to find them on the YSL site.
