Zoë Kravitz Nails the Model-Slash-Actress-Slash-Musician Look at Coach's Pre-Fall Show

A woman who truly does it all.

In honor of its 75th anniversary, Stuart Vevers's Coach has upgraded to Coach 1941 and adopted a new mascot: the dinosaur Rexy, whose likeness adorns many of the brand's knitwear pieces, bags, and accessories. The label has been celebrating 75 years throughout 2016, and it kept the party going for its Pre-Fall 2017 show, where Coach favorites like Rowan Blanchard, Riley Keough, Dree Hemingway, and Drew Barrymore all sat front-row to take in the latest collection. Lenny Kravitz's musician-actress-model daughter Zoë, another longtime Coach girl, joined them in the front row and, with the simplest — yet somehow the most daring — of looks, Kravitz won the front row.

What: A sheer mesh midi dress by Coach with patches on the bodice and pointy-toed black flats with ankle straps.

Why: In a slinky, sheer Coach dress, Kravitz could pass for one of the label's models herself. (And no wonder: She's signed with Women Management in New York, and she's walked for Balenciaga and appeared in campaigns for Alexander Wang, Coach, and more.) On the red carpet for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, her latest film credit, Kravitz opted for a witchy, gothic-inspired look. Her Coach look riffs on the same dark, edgy aesthetic, but it's a bit more stripped back than the decadent lace McQueen ensemble she wore to her last Fantastic Beasts premiere. Indeed, her Coach look, a sheer mesh tea-length dress with a few strategically placed patches on the bodice and a pair of black high-waisted briefs is quite reminiscent of the new, Maria Grazia Chiuri-directed Dior. She keeps it simple with flats and a single platinum braid, the ultimate laid-back, cool-girl look for the woman who does it all.
