I get their corporate-sponsored faux-indie vibe and they’re not as remotely unique as they may think they are. And frankly, it’s somewhat tolerable— at least more so than what’s become of i-D and Dazed. But the art direction is abysmal: just cuz you’re going for the indie vibe, doesn’t mean your layout needs to be so witless and plain ugly just to get those 15yo to look at your rag.
I still would never pay for this like I once did for i-D/Dazed/POP.
