Jeanne Lanvin by Edouard Vuillard c. 1935.

After 1920 Vuillard portrayed over 40 prominent parisiens. Jeanne Lanvin was one of them. It was in the end of his nabi-period about 1900, when he got introduced into the bourgeoise society of paris by Lucie Hessel. His portraits don't psychologize, mereley they document a social environment.
Further in the thread i read, that she owned paintings by Viullard.

^ Beautiful dresses, I absolutely love that Lanvin length; that full skirt to the ankle and wide neckline. Thanks for posting!

there are more pieces at christies.com from Jeanne and others, but they are a nightmare to save images in decent size - only in small pieces like puzzle

Does anyone have any leads on articles about Jeanne Lanvin herself, or perhaps quotes and interviews with Jeanne (in either English or French) ? Any leads would be greatly appreciated -- even if it is just the name of a publication and a date, I have access to an extensive archive so I can go dig it out and then post it in here
