Pre-fall has numerous inspirations.
At Lanvin, a pool of women designers
infl uenced Alber Elbaz’s beautifully
provocative lineup.
“Nonchalant, easy and very luscious.” That’s how
Alber Elbaz describes his pre-fall collection for
Lanvin, inspired by women designers including
house founder Jeanne Lanvin, as well as Elsa
Schiaparelli, Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, Jil Sander
and Vivienne Westwood. Their common thread,
Elbaz says, is a pitch-perfect mix of fantasy and
reality.

The collection seems a bit 'heavy' to me so far, almost like each individual outfit is overdone just a tad. The first two especially look like costumes because of all the different layers.
