Lillian Gish is my favorite actress from that era! She was insanely beautiful.

if you video-google 'the show off' you can watch the whole silent film, it's with louise brooks in it. There are so many silent movies full on the internet, you just have to look in the right places!

Here is a documentary called Star Treatment about Clara Bow. Among the persons interviewed there's Louise Brooks. :woot:
Clara was adorable. ^_^

This is off-topic, but I just had to share it with you guys:

doctormacro.com has disappeared, it's gone

its like they have HUGE eyes, small little pouty dark lips and a halo of curls. each one of them. interesting.... eyeshadow under the eye as well as on top. its a hard look to pull off, it might come off kind of goth-y nowadays.

I know your comment was 3 years ago but....

They had to have such exagerated makeup especially around the eyes so their features would SHOW UP on camera. The guys wore tons too.

(I LOVE CLARA BOW!)

Yeah and I love the effect the make-up has on the screen. It definitely substantiates a scene.

I've yet to see any of her films, but I think that Dolores Costello, otherwise known as the Goddess of the Silent Screen, or Mrs John Barrymore, Drew's grandmother, was one of the most beautiful actresses I've ever seen.
