2005 Louis Vuitton Cherry Line

can I get one with flan on it? or maybe I could just buy a regular LV bag and silkscreen an Andy Warhol bananna on it. Kill two birds with one stone. First COUTURE stetson hats... next couture LV bags in your spare time! I can see it now...

YES!!

*slaps marc and takashi and takes the bong theyve been smoking *

Shoot me....

Now I like those shapes...I wish they had a turqoise leather one kinda like the suhali leather onto the one Marc Jacobs is holding...now that sounds appealing and actually worth being called luxe.

oh, i hate to say it... but, if it was reasonably priced (hah but who am i kidding in even suggesting that!!), i'd buy the bitty one with the cherries....i love the shape....+ it'd go great with a girly-pompador. :)

but i'm not overly impressed, these bags seem to be missing the whole, uhhh, 'classic' and 'luxury' vibes that LV bags should have (esp. for the price tag!) ehhh.....i think i'll be content with my damier speedy that should be ready around spring.

Yukk... the blue ones look okay if i was to have any... the cherry ones look like sumthing u'd pick up from target or sumthing... people are running out of sane ideas

I thought Marc was trying to put bags out there that would be very difficult to knock off after all the trouble they had with the multicolore. These bags are just begging to be copied and it seems like it would be easy to accomplish. They look so cheap.

heaven forbid... seriously who/what were they thinking?!! i just can't stop laughing when i think about watching people actually buying this thinking this is the "new sh*t"

they are gross......but still, if i was backstage i would have stolen some to sell on ebay

That is so immoral !!!! … I mean how could you bare to promote these bags on eBay to the fashionably challenged? Have you no heart for the stylishly challenged? :P

Cherries, eh? Hasn't this already been done and redone. I'm kind of over anything like this. I would have expected a much fresher, progressive design. But, they do offer that "cutesy" quotient that equals sells which in turn equals $$$. They are not designers, they are business people.

That's the bottom line, sad as it may be.

it's just like i've already stated in another fashion community;
the bag itself is handsome, in traditional lv structure and detail. i love how MJ adds design to the classic monogram. but cherries are a rock-a-billy shtick that should be saved for tacky dior.
:yuk:

& by the way, i love murakami. i am the proud owner of the black murakami speedy & i'm a big fan of Louis Vuitton, hence my disappointment, especially after the MAGNIFICANT F/W 2004-2005 collection.
That season was killer and I'm hoping that this was just an off season thing.
Fall Winter always rocks so much more than Spring/Summer.

LV is going down, going down! I swear I would wear it for free or even if they paid me money to wear it!!!! What were they thinking OMG! What are they smoking... I want some too....Maybe it will look better!

Believe me ppl will buy it cause it's LV. :innocent:

I'll be a voice of dissent; I think they'd be hella cute if they just had the cherry print or floral print on a PLAIN background. I've expressed before, and I will probably express again how much I hate the LV monogram background. I can't stand the combination of browns with the other designs over...and the logo-print is uninspired, gratuitous, and pretentious. I think their manufacturing techniques and signature shapes and overall quality should be enough to indicate that this is a high-end designer bag without slapping their label all over it and making the bag's owner into a walking billboard.

So lose the LV LV LV LV
LV LV LV LV
LV LV LV LV LV
LV LV LV LV LV
and I think it would be pretty cute. I like the colors otherwise and the shapes are excellent. Just that bloody awful monogram print!

I think they're cute (please don't stone me) but I do not think that they are worth as much money as they will ask for them, nor do I think they are LV appropriate. Its hard to explain. I guess I just expected more from LV.

This is exactly how I feel.

this is the sad part about this collaboration. instead of getting a new fresh artist to add something new to the line (i mean do you remember the buzz from the sprouse graffiti collection; it could so easily be recreated with someone fresh), they have resorted to something that is obviously commercial and frankly past-its-prime. just like the graffiti bags wouldn't be appropriate for where fashion is today, these are not either (besides the originals LOOKED better).

this is sorely disappointing given that this is like their 150th anniversary.
