OMIFAN9 thanks! I just loved those Scavullo COSMO covers - the girls always looked soooooo hot!!!! These days the COSMO cover is just so dull - the girls look so vapid - sexless - BORING!

O.K. she wasn't, in the strictest sense, a SUPERMODEL, but she was certainly cut from the same cloth, and came along just at the end of the wave in the late '90s - a fabuloue body - all the right curves - a really distinctively exotic, yet beautiful face. Too bad her career fizzled ! But Yamila Diaz-Rahi deserved better. I think she just made a lot of bad career decisions: SI over couture - whatever!!!. Really, Bianca Balti, Izabel Goulart, Isabeli Fontana are all her sisters, in a manner of speaking.

bridget hall is so stunning too wish she did more runway work, yamilla is a beautiful girl but her look isn't as distinctive or striking as supermodels, her shoulders are similar to yasmeen but yasmeen curves are more extreme

i can see why she wasn't used for couture, her beauty isn't refined enough but its cool she is more girl next door rather than extrodinary girl from another planet like linda, christy, naomi, cindy, stephanie, helena, yasmeen and karen

To each his own, but I'm not sure how Yamila looks like the girl next door. Of part Spanish, part Lebanese ancestry I always thought her to be somewhat mysteriously exotic. Where I grew up the girls next door - at least the ones we wanted to date - looked more like Bridget Hall or Niki Taylor.
Anyhow here is another of my all time favorites: magnificent Mexicana Elsa Benitez ! It's really sad that her career fizzled too. She has smashing good looks and is really classy too! Where did she go wrong? She really could have been a superstar. Some have suggested in these pages that choosing SI over fashion was the beginning of the end. Does SI really carry the kiss-of-death for a fashion model?

Glad you like the Naomi cover, it's one of my favs. I agree too about Yamilla. Bridget was never a fav but she is better especially when she was younger, than Yamilla IMO.
