She was kind of like Selena in a way that she was just on the verge of becoming a really big star just before she died.

Seems not that long ago, that I was in this very thread talking about how it had been 9 years since she passed. Time really does go by so very fast. Aaliyah will forever be in my heart. It's sad to think of where she would have been had she been alive. There was just so much talent, beauty and sweetness in her.

^ agree. I remember the day, I found out. A friend was like Hey did you hear about Aaliyah, and I was like 'what are you talking about" At first I didn't believe it, but when i found out via watching tv. I cried, It was so sad. It was like losing someone you know, She was one of my favorite singers growing up.

Just imagine if she was still here. We would saw her in the Movie Honey, She was suppose to play the role jessica Alba did. I'm sure she would of make the movie better. She was suppose to be in the Matrix too.

I watched the tribute yesterday on BET and it was so sad when Timbaland said they had gotten into an argument before she boarded the plane and he never got the chance to work it out. That must feel so awful, having that as a last memory.

That's true. I found the documentary on youtube, it's in two parts. I'm not from the US but i suppose it's the full tribute show without the advertisements.
