Achieving Award Show/Red Carpet Looks

To achieve her naturally beautiful evening look, Celebrity makeup artist, Karan Mitchell, first applied Neutrogena Healthy Skin Glow Sheers in Light to Medium to Vanessa’s already radiant skin.
To set the look and add a hint of shimmer, she then applied Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Blush in in Natural Apricot to the apples of her cheeks, followed by a touch of Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Illuminator.
To create Vanessa’s soft-smoky eye, Mitchell began by applying Neutrogena 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes in Medium underneath the eye to rid of any dark circles, and on the eyelid as an eye-shadow base. She then used Nourishing Eye Duo in Fairy Dust, applying the darker shade to the crease and then brushing the accent shade over the entire lid up to the brow bone. Mitchell finished by applying two coats of Neutrogena Healthy Volume Mascara in Carbon Black.
To complement Vanessa’s darker eye, Mitchell applied a mixture of two pink moisture-infused lip colors – Neutrogena MoistureShine Lipstick SPF 20 in Angel’s Blush and Sheer Luck.(temptalia)

Actress Jessica Stroup shined on the red carpet last night at the Los Angeles premiere of The Informers.
Celebrity makeup artist Vanessa Scali used Dior Beauty products to create the 90210 beauty’s red carpet look:
“The look is simple and graphic. A black lined eye with a ruby stained mouth,” said Scali.
UNDEREYE: Clean and fresh. Dior Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen to
brighten under the eye.
FOUNDATION: DiorSkin Nude Natural Glow Hydrating Makeup.
BLUSH/BRONZER: Dior Bronze Original Tan to warm up the skin (used in the
contours), Dior Pro Cheeks in Catwalk Pink for a touch of color on the
apples of the cheeks and Dior Night Diamond to highlight the cheekbones and
give them a soft shimmer.
EYESHADOW: Dior 5-Colour Iridescent Eyeshadow in Golds #569. I used the
lightest color (center palette) all over the lid and a touch of the light
gold color (upper right hand corner) to the center of the lid.
EYE LINER: Dior Liquid Eye Liner in Black.
MASCARA: Lots of DiorShow Mascara in Black. Still the best formula for
luxurious full lashes.
POWDER: DiorSkin Forever Compact in the T zone.
LIPS: Rouge Dior Lipstick in Devilish Pink. Applied with a brush and then
blotted to leave a sheer stain.

Mark celebrity makeup artist Mai Quynh created the red carpet look for Miley Cyrus at this month’s Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas.
Here’s how she created this look:
Eyes
“Miley’s Monique Lhullier dress was hunter green and with her hair pinned up you could see the jeweled detail of the dress on the shoulder, so we decided do a sheer wash of hunter green on her eyes. I started by applying mark Winkstick Hook Up Eye Shadow Stick in Envious from the lash line to the crease using a flat eyeliner brush to help blend and distribute evenly. Then I added mark I-mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Retro Peacock from the lash line to the crease using an eye shadow brush. I then took an angled contour eye shadow brush to blend everything on the lid, leaving the lash line with the majority of the color. I finished by applying two coats of mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven.”
Face
Apply mark Just Pinched Instant Blush Tint in Nude to the cheeks
Lips
Apply markShine Tubes Hook Up Lip Gloss in Sugared Almond

Skin Care
"I used Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules as a primer; it also acts primarily as a serum to deeply hydrate," said Sheriff. Also used: Dior Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Eye Treatment to rejuvenate tired eyes, Shu Uemura Principe Lip Serum and M.A.C. Strobe Cream "to give skin a beautiful pearlized finish."
Foundation
Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation "because it is cool and lightweight yet gives great coverage," said Sheriff.
Concealer
Mary Kay® Concealer in Beige 2. "It’s super creamy and has hydrating properties to keep eyes moisturized. Its long lasting formula also has a velvety powder finish."
Powder
No powder was used, but Sheriff did use Mary Kay® Beauty Blotters® Oil-Absorbing Tissues to maintain the look.
Bronzer
"I used CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer in Light Bronze. "It is a wonderful color for women of color and truly captures the correct undertone of their complexion."
Blush
Mary Kay® Mineral Cheek Color in Shy Blush
Eye Shadow
Dior 5 Colours Iridescent Eyeshadow in Tropical Light #409. "I used the middle lilac shade on Alicia's lid, and the iridescent pink by the brow bone," said Sheriff.
Eye Liner
"I lined Alicia's lower lash line with Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Black with Purple Highlights then added M.A.C. Pigment in Violet so eyes would pop. I used it as a highlight and a secondary contour for the eyes with a small dome-shaped brush to the outer corner of the eyes, but very lightly. I also made a super fine, thin line with Diorliner Precision Eyeliner to create a well-framed eye.”
Brows
"Because the look had a retro feel with a modern spin, I filled in brows with Mary Kay® Brow Definer Pencil in Brunette then used Diorshow Brow in 541: Shiny Blond because it makes brows look fuller."

Angelina Jolie looked stunning in a nude Versace gown as she walked the red carpet for the premiere of Brad Pitt’s new movie Inglourious Basterds at the Cannes Film Festival. Although Angelina's look was incredibly glamorous, it's one that you can achieve at home. Muted makeup on the face with the summer's must-have red lip. Hair that is natural looking, not overdone.

Celebrity makeup artist Mary Burton created the glamorous look for Angelina Jolie at the Cannes Film Festival. To define Angelina’s lashes Mary used two different mascaras, Lancôme Hypnôse in Black and Lancôme Ôscillation in Black and applied a few coats of both to add volume and length. Mary used Lancôme Color Design Lipstick in Candy Apple to create her voluptuous red pout.

For her hair, Celebrity hairstylist David Babaii created Angelina Jolie’s hairstyle for the 2009 Cannes Film Festival using a blow dryer and small round brush. The inspiration behind the look was "very 70's and very bohemian".

Prior to blow drying, David sprayed each section with David Babaii for WildAid Volcanic Ash Root Lift for volume, hold and lift. A small round brush served as a substitute for a curling iron giving her soft bohemian waves. He used the warmest temperature while initially blow drying. Then, when each section was dry, he wrapped hair around the round brush, blasting it first with warm, then cool air, to lock in the curl. To finish, David brushed hair to one side and pulled remaining hair behind the ear.

The Mission: Make Blake Lively the most red-carpet-ready Gossip Girl in attendance at the 2009 Emmy Awards.

The Face: Buckle relied on a lot of warm honey colors to make Lively’s green eyes “pop,” including DiorBronze Original Tan in Amber Tan #03, Dior Serum de Rouge Lipstick as a base with Dior Addict Lip Polish in Radiance Expert on top, and Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow in Beige Messai #705. To get that ethereal, otherworldly glow on her cheekbones and shoulders, Buckle actually used Dior Eye Show in Undressed Beige. “It’s technically an eye shadow,” he says, “but it works basically anywhere you want to reflect the light!” Noted.
