In theory, it constitutes couture because she runs a full atelier and does only custom orders. I suppose not all couture customers live day to day in feather ballgowns, perhaps there's a need for at home looks and such. Love the United Nude sandals.
Karma for you, Bidwell. I like how this shows the other side of couture, the nice everyday gowns, the simpler things, not the elaborate Galliano stuff (although sometimes it can be nice). I'm also liking that yellow gown. Very simple and very cool
I like the stark, strong, ungimmicky simplicity of the yellow gown. The others...hmmm...I guess I have to see the entire collection. So far, it's likeable, but it strikes me as something not that original or challenging to design and construct.... need to see more.
excellent points bidwell,
i've been adeline's admirer for a long time now..
and its not in 'theory' mme Andre is a real couture designer, that's how she's been making her living for more than ten years now, she has a very faithful clientelle
the yellow and red gowns are my faves, wish we could see more from this
exactly Zazie, couture is about quality, made-to-meassure environment and dressing real people living real an everyday life, couture is not just the 'look-at-me/flashy/theatrics/oscar/celebrities' effect...
