This along with the F/W are his worst couture collections. This one in particular is just rancid. Tacky, dated drag queen costumes with hideous make up on top.

agreed. this one is just absolutely loathsome. like so so bad it makes me wince.

Hated it in 2008, hate it in 2024. And the disaster inspired by this that was FW2008 RTW…
A pity because SS2008 RTW was a hit and people expected fireworks for the Couture.

That FW2008 rtw disaster looked like it was fully on Gaytten. The most banal pieces, the most random prints selected, minimum decorations or they are same weak as prints, color blocking, etc. All his design codes were there
