I was about to search for this collection.
Nice, cant wait for more.

hmmm
i always love af vandevorst but i still feel like they will never be able to outdo that insect collection and the collection from fw 07

maybe ill be wrong
those pics dont help me though

chessmess, in my humble opinion, they've done some truly beautiful work in the past, way before F/W 07.08 and definitely equal or better in terms of concept and execution. I think they still experiment so much, you can smell the richness of their ideas behind every collection even if some are bound to have more visual appeal than others, which makes it hard for me to agree that their collection a year ago was their largest effort to date and think it's fair to say they will hardly surpass that.. cause I think they're one of the few labels that expand their territory of creativity by growing through different horizons every season instead climbing a mountain to impress themselves, if that makes sense.

some collections you might enjoy:
Fall/Winter 01.02
Spring/Summer 2003.
Fall/Winter 04.05

i love the way this is looking, myself!! if its one thing that a.f. vandevorst are NOT its predictable.....and it's hardly ever hit or miss either, which is something one sees so much of in many other designers. but not these two. they have such a strength of aesthetic and character that really allows them to evolve very beautifully. along with what you are saying mullet, they stay very true to who they are as creatives and i think it makes what they do so genuine.

masha!!!!
alot of it looks amazing
love the lingirie influence
but some of it
a few looks, come off as too sexy secratery

i just adore the eclecticism of it all. there's a lovely sense of richness about it yet there's also that sort of subversiveness that's very typical of their style. and those shades of hospital greens.....just stunning!!!! very vintage vandevorst.

wow! it's so great how the aesthetic of the brand is there 100%, yet it's so glamorous and like scott said, really rich.

That shade of green is beautiful, esp. when paired w/ the red... :crush:
There is something very undone about it... rather sexy, imo...
I don't quite understand why the patchwork stuff was included... :ermm:
It is adorable though, esp. the little patchwork skirt...

A lot of these pieces have individual merit; the styling is haphazard, but I think it works for the most part. What a change in direction from last season's witchy vibe.
