Alber Elbaz to unveil bridal designs for Lanvin

THis is nice to see him do, bridies do need gowns in his spirit.........
softer and more pure than the frou-frou of many designers whodo it.
Also......... my Sister is getting married in December and I will have to design and make her Dress...........the second bridal dress of my Career, the first being about 10yrs ago..........

Although I am very excited to see the result of these designs, I've always imagined the Lanvin woman as one that never marries....

Kind of off topic but what is the undercurrent for your disbelief in marriage?

I just do not feel that a couple needs a contract to prove that they love each other  And I am kind of afraid of commitment :innocent:

Is marriage a contract or (as in the paper) or is the tangible evidence, for legal puposes that you are married?
also, personally, I dont think you can truly (romantically) love someone, be in a relationship and refuse to marry them for love has no limits!!!!!!

Anytime we find someone that we can trust wholeheartedly, commitment becomes a natural unconscious progression of being in a relationship with such a person,.

This does sound promising because Alber is really the only one out there doing what he does. Still, it'll be weird seeing any extravagant dresses when I'm used to seeing cocktail-lengthes from him.

Ulla-Maija, Amsale, Angel Sanchez, Elizabeth Fillmore, Junko Yoshioka

 Alber Elbaz. But I find it odd that Lanvin will start to do bridal wear
Imagine Louis Vuitton doing bridal! Thats how weird it seems

Blah, whatever. Big forced and contrived frothy taffeta gowns...OH, sounds exquisite.

I remember that when French actress Clotilde Courau got married to Emmanuel de Savoie, Lanvin by Alber Elbaz was one of her 3 possible choices.
She chose Valentino in the end, but French Elle showed a picture of the dress Elbaz had designed for her and it was magnificent : the gown was light grey (Clotilde was pregnant at the time) with a sophisticated yet simple cut.
I would definitely get married in Lanvin, it would be my 1st choice!

didn't see this posted. its a tiny pic, but here is Amalia Dayan (whoever that is) wearing Lanvin to her wedding.

Oh dear...I wouldn't have expected that kind of result from bridal by Lanvin.
