Alber Elbaz to unveil bridal designs for Lanvin

I really like it. Maybe not the belt, but the rest looks great!

that's the dress I was talking about! the best one on the page, imo.

it's a pretty dress but it might not even be the mainline collection. No doubt she has contacts with the house and elber and had it designed for her, same as the YSL dress.

here's another pic of a lanvin wedding dress from nymag.com...

Satin gown with shredded hem and trompe l’oeil beaded neckline by Lanvin,$2,494

meg...you're right about that...
shirin von wulffen does pr for ysl, so that's how she got pilati to design her dress...

That one is gorgeous kimair. It's modern and sexy, but as always with Alber, tasteful.

is that dress really 2494??? that doesn't seem like a bad price at all considering how insane fashion is these days.

i was thinking the same thing, too! It's really reasonably priced compared to other bridal dresses. And so beautiful, too!

Im sure it'll be boring and irrelevant just as his collections.

Im sure the key fabrics will be taffeta, organza and crepe de chine...as per usual.

lanvin, irrelevant?
ok....to each his own...
and i've seen alot of his rtw dresses at barneys here, and those aren't the only fabrics used...

i was wondering the same thing about the price ale and mercer...
they don't have any info about the bridal line on lanvin.com or any of the wedding sites...

why not just go the whole way and do couture?
(i know its a process to get in but really)

I might just have to get married again---the last time was after work on a Friday afternoon at the justice of the peace---Now I may just have to do the whole shebang---NOT, but maybe just try on one of these dresses, or smell one, or at least touch one or make my niece get married in one or...well you get the idea.

The 800-square-foot shop, with its custom glass vitrines, chandelier and spotlighting; greige wood walls, and archival photos, is an evocative showcase for the entire Lanvin assortment. It's a range of pre-spring, bridal and travel collections, in a dual color palette — soft blushes and tans as well as deep blues and black.

I guess I know where I'm going next time I hit NYC. Thank you for posting that- it looks amazing!

Yesterday a brazilian very successful bank owner married wearing a Lanvin wdding dress (I an't remeber her name now) but I'll scan the pics tomorrow for you!

I was also going to comment on the price. There must be a digit missing there somewhere. No way it is going for that low. You can get a regular lanvin dress for that price (and the dresses from this season would be a lovely modern alternative for a wedding dress) and wedding dresses's prices are always jacked up

The idea of the bridal collection being carried at Bergdorfs is super romantic to me.

I could totally see some beautiful flighty heiress, like Serena from Gossip Girl, deciding to get married one afternoon, running by Bergdorfs to pick up a pretty wedding dress, then heading over to city hall.
