This looks like a bad Celine collection, I will say it again, Wang is just an over rated stylist with amazing fashion connections.

That may just be intentional. I get the feeling he's going for that awkward Field & Streams-via-Miu Miu circa 1999 vibe.

There are too few pieces to create a complete impression for me. But the jackets and coats are nice enough, although like everything Wang has done before, even his good pieces instantly remind me of someone else's designs. Going by this, it's very late-90s Jil Sander, Miu Miu and Prada, given a more streamlined, NY-sportswear vibe. He's still the best of that NY gang, by far.

I'm sure the puss-in-boots boots will be most coveted by the blogging groupies since it's so instantly recognized as Alexander Wang, if only to be photographed with and posted, and forgotten about in 2 weeks time.

I'm quite exciting with his collection, it wasn't the best but it is interesting with gimmick and detail that is amazing.

The opened backed jumper looks like it was caught on a hang-nail coming out of hair and makeup.....terribly finished.

Agreed.

I would like the hooded jacket in picture #5 if it was in another color. The coat in the second to last picture is nice, too. Other than that it's shockingly bad and very confusing. And most of all, with very few exceptions, it's neither cool nor wearable. Not sure why he thought this would make a good Pre-Fall collection.
