ALICE, what's the matter?

DELLAL - one of the models of the moment - strips off on the catwalk.
Although it’s unclear exactly what she is supposed to be modelling though at this London Week Fashion show for House of Blue Eyes, whose previous faces include KATE MOSS and BETH DITTO.
Going for a cross between goth and S&M looks, Alice’s only noticeable items of clothing are boots, pop socks, ripped fishnets, red knickers and pink gloves.
What do you think of Alice’s get-up – tacky and wacky or the height of fashion in 2009?

WHEN Alice first burst on to the scene sporting dirty DMs and a shaved head she was a breath of fresh air.
Here was an interesting girl with a major attitude and a style all of her own. Hailed as the next Kate Moss despite not being stick thin and at least 5 inches shorter than most models, the fash pack expected big things from this quirky Brazilian model and 'socialite'.

She was soon bagsying campaigns and was even pictured in Vogue.
But her try-hard scruffy look and 'shocking' party antics soon became boring.
Ripped fishnets (yawn), falling out of clubs (yawn), swearing at the paparazzi (yawn), dirty hair (yawn and yuck).
Like the Emperor's new clothes, Alice's artfully dishevelled look soon got revealed for the skanky 'I'm rich but desperately trying to look cool and poor' style it was.
Your dad's a MILLIONAIRE Alice - why are you wearing second hand clothes that didn't even look good the first time round?!
No one was surprised when she was pictured in a grotty bedsit surrounded by what looked like wraps of drugs.
And her turn as the body of Agent Provocater turned most women off the brand quicker than you could say nipple tassle.
She was a perfect choice for the Johnny Blue Eyes show though, which featured a freak show of drag queens, old men and pregnant models.
The next Kate Moss she is not.

That's true, but then again Daisy Lowe is also in the Supporting Cast. And Alice is pretty bust with her career at the moment - i-D cover, runway shows.

hey guys,
i was at Mahiki last night for the Select Modelling Agency LFW Party and bumped into Alice Dellal. She was absoloutely lovely, never met someone in Fashion who has been nicer.
So down to earth, and you would never think she's Alice.

Really? I've only been visiting this thread a few weeks and find her ultimately cool of course, but I would imagine her to be slightly intimadating. Good to know
