Allure June 2014 : Amber Valletta

Love her, but this looks dated, wow! Still happy to see models getting back on US magazines, i applaud them for it.

Just when you thought you could pick Allure's covergirls from a repeating shortlist of the same twenty celebrities, you get this.

And it's like I'm looking at 1994, rather than 2014.

I mean, her short-haired look was never a favourite of mine, but for the sheer unexpected nature of this shot, I'm all for it.

this looks like from 2002... but on the other hand this is the most alluring cover of US Allure for a long time

Looks like one of those bad catalogs that you find at cheap hair salons...

So excited seeing Amber, but this sure does feel like we're back in the 90s! But I'm cool with that! Can't go wrong with Amber, especially with that beautiful smile!

this.

it looks so dated...i don't think that cut is doing her any favors.
her cover from may 2001 is one of my all-time favorites...

I find all Allure covers to be really dated, they all look like they're from 2002-2005 to me. Every month!

Amber looks great though, this is a nice surprise.

I am truly in love with this. The haircut is giving me a 1993 vibe when Amber started to hit big. And I'm super glad with the fact that she's on the cover.

All this cover illustrates is that there is nothing remarkable about having a model on the cover versus an attractive celebrity. People will dismiss a great celebrity cover because they dislike celebrities on covers while at the same time praising mediocre covers like this simply because the woman on the cover is a model. A good cover will be a good cover regardless of the occupation of the woman. The same applies to bad covers.

Completely agree with your comment!

I was thrilled when I read the thread name, but it's awful. I hate the haircut. Wish she looked the way she looked in Revenge. Nothing sexy here.

i wish the had styled her hair cut into a more modern style. nice smile tho
