Altuzarra F/W 14.15 New York

LOL, this guy has no vision ( just like Prabal).
Starts of like Dior then Tom Ford then those weird potato sack tops and pant ensembles show up.

As someone who used to be a fan of Joseph's work and initially believed in his talent, this collection comes out as a huge letdown. I am mostly bothered by three very important components which cheapen every look; firstly, the fabrics that were used for the outerwear which seem to 'move' a lot while in motion, which is not a good thing as they lose their shape; then the lack of design in the garments (take those plain pants, the potato sack dresses or the 'bathrobes as coats' for example) and thirdly, the color palette and the badly done color-blocking which makes everything seem very dated. Also, the Celine comparison when it comes to some of the pieces is inevitable.

Yes there is a strong Celine influence too!

Possibly his worst collection! First 3 look reminded me of Celine Spring 2014 collection. Almost like a cheap copy!!

Not a well thought out!

Lot of these NYC guys are photoshop designers, they go on vogue or style.com and browse through which looks to copy from last season lol.

Celine -> Dries Van Noten -> Balenciaga -> Raf Simon's Jil Sander

Such a let down, I'm super disappointed.

the dresses are quite decent, especially the white/cream one shown with grey gloves

I like the 2 grey shift dresses with little hints of orange and pink. But I totally agree with everybody else, If someone asked me what Altuzarra stands for, I would have no clue how to answer.

whats going on with the colours and the crocheted pieces? they both look a bit arbitrary...

I actually like it, the outerwear is strong and beautiful. I like those vivid colors. And the dresses are ladylike sexy which I find it's stunning.

i looove this  could do without the grey pieces with those pops of colour (badly fitting as well) but the blue is stunning!

This collection feels like his inspiration shifted half way through while making it.

He's not the only one who literally draws references from European designers.
Many of the NYC "hip" designers do it.
