No.. I didn't watch all of it... but I listened to all of it... and I came to the conclusion that I have heard/seen worst things in my life.

Well sure, it's no American Idol audition, but for Amy it's pretty bad imo.

It's not her style...I've been listening to her since 2004 and watched her eagerly, before she even got picked up by Perez Hilton. She may have funny pronounciation for some of her words which almost sound slurred, but usually she sounds quite sharp. This felt undynamic, the whole thing was muddy, there was no life in this performance. It was horrible. Amy is a brilliant singer. This was average. But I wouldn't say shocking.

Edit: I watched the rest of it, it gets worse and worse. I couldn't understand anything she was saying. She was stumbling around on stage and her eyes were flicking around. Sometimes she moved away too much from the microphone and she went out of range.

Her lifestyle is taking its toll on her voice. That was a dreadful performance, and it's such a pity. She did have such potential to bring blues to new heights.

Mmm. I cought a glimpse of her at Virgin Mobile fest in Baltimore over the summer and she was just as bad. She just kind of mumbled through everything and spent most of her time trying to adjust her hair and play with the back of her necklace. And she's so tiny I could bareley even see her. I think we left and went to the dance tent. She's terrible.

Oh, and while we were standing in the merchandise line, a little girl who couldn't be older than 10 had her father buy her an Amy Winehouse shirt. All it said was "Don't Want to Go to Rehab." Made me sad for the celebrities kids have to look up to nowadays..

Yes I think she's on a downward slide in terms of performance.

About the 10 yr old, this reminds me of WHSFest in Baltimore that I went to several years ago. Imagine drunken, vomiting 12 yr old kids stretched out on cement; LOL its too late for the next generation.

Was it held in the M&T stadium, or somewhere else, just curious?

^ Yeah, didn't Diana Ross make it seem so glamorous, though, in her film portrayal of her? What a good-looking junkie. I wish ignoring addiction would make it go away, but romanticizing it does no good, either. I've seen too many otherwise smart people get consumed by that crap. I've seen many pull through, too. I don't know what the answer is, I just pray our girl here pulls through.

No, it's just that lately, artists seem to think that if they take a lot of drugs, it's all they will ever need to become a legend... like Jagger, or Patti Smith, or Lou Reed, or Iggy Pop and so on...

Their point isn't to make good music, but to become icons... the thing is that they are too stupid to realise that true ICONS are not just mere junkies who call the papz everytime they do some dope...

...true legends, primarily have excellent music and performances to show before they become what they are... at the end of the day, the whole world and his grandma can become addicts if they wanted to.... what's the big fuss about?

Amy W's performance at the MTV awards seemed to me as a desperate attempt of her to say: "Look at me people, I'm so wasted, I'm such a cool drug-addicted person! I'm a true musician now!"... well, sorry - you are just lousy and if I ever paid a dime to see you perform like this, I would have asked to get it back.

And if you are really THAT high, prove it and eat a bat too!

I don't know much of Mick Jagger but I do know of Marianne Faithfull and she says he wasn't one for the hard stuff....
or too much of even the light stuff...
he is too much of a control freak.


Now Marianne ( who did tons of the hard).....
how she came out looking as good as she does I'll never know.
