you're welcome runner! thanks for all the gorgeous gorgeous pictures. those are hard to find.

also, angelo figus is back. he's no longer doing clothes, just shoes & accessories (mostly jewelry). there' s a really good video of the entire s/s 09 collection here:
[link]http://videos.ellecanada.com/paris-spring-summer-collections-2008/pmv1394_en.php[/link]
i wish there were still images available, though.
there are some beautiful looking shoes shown. i have to say that overall, the new stuff is a pretty big departure from what he was making before. at least in my eyes. it seems more commercial, in that it's a little more poppy, palatable, and just a touch less distinctive. there was something much darker about his older work that was also intensely personal.

here are a couple of photos, from http://shoes.stylosophy.it/, s/s 09 again...altho i like what is shown in the video better.

he's back!!!! yes!

those sculpted shoes, although pared down,is very much his style.

and thanks cerfas,m'deer!

missing you round herexx

both the shoes and necklaces are so representative of his style.. definitely more accessible in comparison to his clothes but not entirely conventional, I think..
I'm just so glad to see him back, he seems like someone that's constantly struggling to get his creations out there while remaining true to himself.. I hope that, despite the economy, it won't be long before we see him going back to garments, too. -_-

thanks for posting, cerfas and so nice to see you around!.

^sadly he seems to only be doing the shoes and accessories right now. that aspect is disappointing since i adored and missed his clothes.

am i delusional when i heard a few years ago he re-located back to his home country,in venice?

thank you very much for reviving this thread..
i had never seen it before
i like the crisp shapes, angles made by the fabric

in a sense it feels like two different designers
the first part of this thread and the most recent, they are very colourful.. lots of patchwork
and then in the middle, it's a world of neutrals..
but the idea of patches of shades/colours is still there, throughout

there are a lot of designers who like to push drapery to its potential
it's very interesting to see the styles all change according to designer.. the drapes are so characterstic of the designer designing them

looks like he did a line for office holdings
