^I just bought vol 1 yesterday..do you think it gets better after that?

^ it gets better with each chapter, I already wrote an exalted comment about it somewhere around this thread

yes it does. In my opinion though it is best to buy Vagabond in bulk (2-3 at a time). Sometimes he has problems with arks cutting off at strange places. Not to forget a character that gets about 20 chapters to himself!

I've watched Spirited Away and a few other yaoi and h*nt*i films... but Spirited Away is really good. Does anyone know anyother anime movies similar to Spirited Away?

i think you should check out all of Miyazaki's works. Princess Mononoke is my personal favorite.
anybody here watch Last Exile?

well at least he is honest....

and yes, i liked Last Exile. Steam Punk FTW!!!

the intro song

I watched Last Exile a few years ago. Great story and impressive animation, love the intro song too!

For anyone who is interested in the horror manga genre, I just read one called "Parasyte" and it was pretty good. You can read it at onemanga.com if you're interested! It's not scary, just gory in some parts.

yes Last Exile's intro song is one of the best opening themes ever!

ohhh... i LOVE the manga:

the wallflower and another of my favorite is Hell Girl :) oh that is hella amazing
im not a fan of reading too much manga/ watching anime cuz i know i'll get too addicted :p

so many DBZ fans here.
has anyone seen the movie.
i didn't even know they made one, but they are passing it on HBO right now and it is sooo badd.....

what is emmy rossum doing there? poor girl.

they better not kill Cowboy Bebop the same way.

at Otakon for the weekend. Any new anime/manga I should pick up? I am never up on the new stuff so when all the girls screamed over "Durarara!" I wasn't getting the hype. But I enjoyed Baccano so it can't be that bad.

Durarara! is so good, one of the best anime I've watched this year - I hope they make a second season!

Anyone else feeling sad about One Manga shutting down?

Anyone else feeling sad about One Manga shutting down?
Yes, I'm so sad! I haven't read any manga on there in forever, but I'm still sad that it's getting shut down... :<

I see that someone is going to Otakon. Anyone else attend conventions and/or cosplay? I went to Anime Expo in LA this year and took a ton of photos! Did anyone else go?

I'm not sure if it's appropriate to post here but these are some of my favorites:

My friend Jesse as Black Rock Shooter, an OAV that was just released (which I have yet to see).

I used to love going to conventions and I cosplay every now and then, but I'm progressively starting to feel out of place because my taste in anime is mostly series from the 90s, and I barely know half of the series and characters that I see cosplayed.

I don't even know what to say about One Manga shutting down...it was inevitable, I guess, but so sad.

And this consequence will likely carry over to other sites like MangaFox, of course

I will be one of those who will be extremely saddened by onemanga shutting down  In support I joined the onemanga forums as well and I've been downloading manga from the site since last last week.. Especially the ones that I've read in the past years. Up to now I still can't get over the fact that it will cease to host scans. I read my first manga from there five years ago.

^I was on the site yesterday, getting my last ever fix of Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume and xxxHolic to save to my computer, just as the manga viewer went offline. Sure, there's always the scanlators and IRC, but I guess the publishers wanted to make finding scans less easy. I'll still hang around the forums, and DLs are always possible if you know where to look, but having all that stuff in one place often meant you discovered other stuff on random click-throughs.

Kinda glad to find other people to commiserate about this with on TFS though.
