Anime & Manga

I've watched Spirited Away and a few other yaoi and h*nt*i films... but Spirited Away is really good. Does anyone know anyother anime movies similar to Spirited Away?
I really love Spirited Away and after I saw that movie I watched Totoro, Howl's Moving Caste, Princess Mononoke and Caste in the Sky..I like all of them;)

Savage Garden and Love @ First Sight!

I'm so in love with these 2, and the art is a plus! If any interested, you can read off JanimeS's site. :D

A huge loss in the anime and film world today: Satoshi Kon has passed away. He directed Paprika, Millennium Actress, Perfect Blue, Paranoia Agent and Tokyo Godfathers. If any of you haven't seen his films or anime series, I urge you to do so! He was such a talented and incredibly imaginative director - I'm sad that he won't be able to share any more of his brilliant ideas, stories and visions with us.

RIP

May his soul rest in peace....I am sad he won't be making any more of his brilliant films though, they're among the ones that allow people to see anime at a whole other level and we need more of that.

I heard the news about Kon yesterday... what a terrible loss, not just to anime, but to art in general. What a truly talented person.

In other terrible anime news, there is also a rumor that Studio Ghibli may be closing down - so make sure to go support them by seeing Arietty the Borrower when it comes out!

I agreed that Naruto is not wt it used to be.
It seems to me that Kishi is rushing through the plot.
But nonetheless it's still exciting, the fights are always epic.
I think Kakashi is pretty hot :ninja: I'm so strange

KAKASHI!! :buzz: :buzz:

I stopped reading Naruto for some reason. It's as boring as most long mangas get.

I know, I was never a fan of Naruto, I only like pretty girly mangas:innocent::blush::D

I thought I was getting too strange
No way you're getting strange, at least not from thinking Kakashi's hot

Guy needs your love as well :( don't you like his eyebrows?
Both Kakashi and him are my favourite characters.

I think that the problem with Naruto, as with most manga of its kind, is that the heroes are in constant need of power-ups, eventually reaching absurd levels. When that happens all the fights become totally ridiculous and lose every interest.
And another (bigger) problem is that when the rest of the characters become obselete they can't have an important part in the plot anymore, that way the story has to focus on the exploits of a single person, that yes, maybe he's accompanied by other people but they are completely overshadowed by him (think of Yamato for example, a totally filler character). The story lacks variety and that's why I think it loses interest over time as well.
My favourite part of the manga is by far the 1st one, the one about Zabuza.

Ahhh... when Sasuke & Naruto were still rivals. At least it was interesting! Though the way Sasuke sacrificed his life to get Naruto a chance to beat that masked accomplice of Zabuza was rather cliched but at least it was endearing. I also loved the volume where Sasuke and Itachi fought. The explanation for why he killed his clan kind of touched me in a way and it wasn't something I expected.

I've never ever read a manga series that has over 35 volumes...

^ Vagabond has around 30 volumes so far and every single page is a visual delight (and contrary to Naruto it gets better with the time)

My tfs is weirding out again..but anyway, I'll have to check it out^^ do you have any pictures?
