Ann Demeulemeester Shopping Thread

I got the suede tie-dye coat today from france. OMG, it is more amazing than I ever expected. Fits like it was made for me and the condition is Like New, even the pockets are still sewn shut, not to mention how incredibly cool the pattern is. What is it about AD pieces that gives you chills and makes you feel so special wearing them? It's like having a secret treasure that no one else in the room knows about.

Congratulations! I saw that coat - I'm glad you got it... and yes, I know the feeling ^_^

Hmm, not sure about that. A tattoo? :woot: What kind?
Just don't tattoo Ann's name :D.

Is San Fran within your reach? Cielo has a very nice selection of Ann, and a wonderful selection overall.

great thanks. don't know if I will make it to san fran on this trip but it's good to know.

I am covering up a scar with the 2nd one on my right hip/stomach area and already have the 1st one on my left shoulder. It's a 19th century etching.

Also Komakino in Vancouver will be carrying Ann Dem for F/W 06/07
I'm so freakin excited!

wow, that sounds like such a nice store. thanks.
I love this schpeal (sp?) on their website.

"Did you know that one of your arms is shorter than the other, and one of your legs too? That ties have life lines? That suit collars nearly always roll, and can be fixed in 30 minutes? That, rather than being a sign of quality, a lining can actually hide shoddy workmanship? That a “high twist” yarn will hang out overnight without pressing? That frequent dry cleaning is not good and pairing cashmere with elastic is not cheap? And why? We do. Because we live and breathe fashion and have for over 30 years. We can tell you why a $500 sweater is a find and a $1,000 jacket is a loser. We can show you how to build a wardrobe, and how to redress an existing one. Ask us about fit. Quiz us on proportion. Hold our feet to the fire on designers, textiles, construction. We travel the world to learn these things and then we hurry home to educate our staff. We want you to look your absolute best, and we know absolutely how to make that happen. We also know where to get the best grilled chicken in Florence, but perhaps that’s beside the point."

what store carry the fw06 stuff in NYC? what about Chicago or Minneapolis.

In Chicago, for Ann D:
Blake - Womens Full Line (Clothes, Accessories, Shoes)
Barneys New York - Womens Shoes Only

Unfortunately no men Ann D, since SS 03. Blake had mens before, and Saks Fifth had it up until 2001.

Thats pretty much it.

In NYC:
- Barneys New York: Men/Women
- IF: Men/Women
- Atelier: Men
- Jeffery: Women
- Via Bus Stop: Women

jeffrey carries some of the mens. Not as much as the other places... but still some!

+ Saks: Womenswear, no shoes
Bergdorf: Womenswear, a little

Does IF has womenswear too? I thought only women's shoes, but I didn't look closely.

I'm going to LA next friday, who carries her there? I'm assuming barneys, is thre anyone else?
