^ Exactly. I bought a mac because it looked nice. Does that make it superior to a PC in my eyes? Yes. Do I care what's inside it? Not really. Like most people here I imagine, I use my macbook for email/internet and maybe the odd bit of DVD watching or basic photoshopping....which 95% of computers are capable of. A mac just does it so much more nicely.
Not sure I'd want to upgrade my 'CPU'....even if I did know what it was.
Funny that this was mentioned because I was just discussing this with friends a few days before. I'm as good or bad with a mac as I am with a Windows PC. And the only thing I use it for is surf the net, check email, socialise and maybe that odd bit of work. Things like typing essays, light editing on pictures etc.
Besides the whole inconvenience about PC games, the comparison for the average user ultimately boils down to price vs aesthetics.
Personally, I just want something light and pretty and does all the things I need it to do without me ever needing to tell it what to do and Mac fits the bill. That said, I really don't like my old MacBook Pro. The silver ones. It heats up so fast and burns my legs. Does the new MBP have this problem?
