Apple or PC?

Apple is not just more aesthetically pleasing. They're more reliable too. I used to get all these viruses with a PC but since becoming a Mac-convert, I've been virus free.

One of my fellow Mac friends works in the computer fixing lab at school and had this to say about why he uses a Mac: "I work on broken computers all day (as he points to a PC) I like to go home to a computer that actually works. :p

PC.

And I have never, ever used Mac. Actually, I haven't even seen it, except for in the pictures and in stores.

^ You should def. check it out.

I have an iMac G5, but I really want an ibook or Powerbook. (But don't tell my dad, because he always says I end up regreting my purchases :D.) I love my iMac, but I would say the only con is that they always come out with a newer version just a couple months later after you buy your own (i.e. nano then video, iMac G5). :(

I WANT AN IPOD NANO!!!!!!!

i love my mac mini. i used to use pcs all the time, but i think apple is much more reliable.

MAC definately. i've used PC's all my life and just recently switched over to an iBook. it has made my life so much more easier. it's more space efficient, looks better, less crashes, more organized (files/software), less errors, and the apple customer service is the best. the downside is of course, the price.

if you're worried about sites popping up weirdly, use firefox. it's extremely compatible -- even more so than safari. it also has a pop-up blocker.

^ MACs are more reliable. It is mainly because PCs use the intel pendium chip while MACs make everything theirselves, including the programs (Appleworks, iMovie), equipment (iPods), the software (MAC OX), and everything inside; also the designs. That is why they cost so much.

Aren't Macs supposed to be switching to the Intel, now?

Yeah been on a Mac since about 02. An iBook. Unfortunately,my modem got fried when a bad lightning storm hit unexpectedly. I've been using a PC till I can afford to get it fixed and everything on it seems so alien to me. So much more complicated....the files and folders are so spread out,it can be quite an arduous task just trying to locate something. And more virus nonsense than one cares to see on PC. They're so unstable.

Apple has made the switched to Intel, but the first computers are supposed to arrive in June 2006. Rumors are saying that the iBook will be introduced in January 2006. One thing is for sure, the cheaper mac:s will get the intels processor first since the big programs as Maya 3D etc will not be compatible with new macs untill mid 2006.

When the computers will come only Jobs know, but when they come it´s gone be huge. You can run OS X and still start your windows apps if there is some missing to OS X. I am not missing anything but some people are.
This will make them come over to the good side.

Apple 4 ever

I know, quite sad.
Dont be sad. :flower:

Thing will get better for the user...
Better batterylife for the laptop users.
Quicker programs.
More programs.
The possibility to run windows and linux apps at the same time as you have OS X running.

APPLE APPLE APPLE APPLE!! I used to have PC and in fact still have my Sony Vaio but it doesn't compare... not just in terms of aesthetics mind you! My apple never crashes, it easier to use, better customer service... I could go on. My ibook is failsafe (touchwood). My ipod is a whole different story though. Love the damn thing and am incapable of walking anywhere without it but it is perpetually broken.

I definitively prefer Apple, from the design of the computer itself to the software it has. Unfortunately, I've never had one.... I'll get one when I start working, I've always wanted a Mac, since I was very little!

I have an iMac G5 with the really big screen and I love it.It's annoying sometimes though when certain wbsites or whatever are not mac compatible and it took me like forever to connect it wirelessley to our PC downstairs, got there in the end though and it was definately worth it. Theres still some stuff I don't know how to do but I mainly use my Mac to surf the net, watch dvds and downlooad and listen to music.

This is probaby a dumb question but which one is the Command button and the Option button?
